Buying one as soon as the come in. Unless the dealer tries to charge me any "market adjustment fees"...in which case, the can go screw themselves... I can wait...

I'm not going to buy a 2016 because I have an 09 that still has 5+ years of life left on it.
However I would not hesitate, I had an 05 till 115k miles that never once needed any service other then regular maintenance. Never even changed the plugs and it was still running like new when it was totaled.

Same here. If the changes on the 2016 are an improvement enough in my opinion to get it, I will. If not, I will go for a 2015 as they try to fill the lot with the brand new ones. I'm a bit weary about being the guinea pig but with Toyota I don't think I need to be that concerned. We'll see.

I will stay with my 2014 with 16,000 miles on it. Might be looking at one again about 2017.

If I like it I'll buy it. Facts are new generation vehicles has less problems not more. Read the JD Powers reports and see for yourself.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Look at the build quality of a current Tacoma over say an 80's yota pickup, I think the older ones had far less problems but that's just me.

I'd consider one if it were just a little bit smaller than the first gen. My second gen DCSB is just too big, but it is the smallest Toyota I can buy. My bet is the third gen is going to be even bigger.

I wouldn't be scared of it. I had an early production 07 Tundra and aside from a few little quarks it was solid. I plan on ordering a DCSB 16 as soon they get one on the lot I can test drive.

I'll probably end up being a guinea pig. I was going to get a '12-'13 to replace my '11 that was just totaled. Instead, I'm going to pick up a little something to drive in until it comes out.

I'm buying something by fall of 2015. Whether it is a 2015 or a 2016 remains to be seen. I guess I'll know more after Jan 12th!

It is going to be a white DCSB TRD O/R (V6 auto). And I want it by September.

Assuming I can even get that in a 2016 by that date then there will be the dilemma. The last "refined" year of the 2nd gen or taking the "risk" on the first year of the 3rd gen. Honestly don't know my preference until we know more about the 2016.

But at this moment there are probably even odds I'll be a guinea pig.

What's wrong with getting a new model Toyota? My brother-in-law has an 03 4runner V6 255k and going strong with no issues of note..... It was the first year new model....... A GM product or Ford I can understand, they are usually junk, but a Toyota should be just fine.

I just bought my 2015 a month ago, and did the evil deed of rolling in negative equity (too much!) - so not me - I'll be in my 2015 for a long time unless it gets totalled.

I am saving up for a Tacoma and it will either be the 2015 or the new 2016 depending on the specs of the 2016. I do not see it as being a a guinea pig either. Its not like buying a completely new model. All of my Toyota's, and Honda's, have lasted for 200k+ miles and I have no reason to doubt the 2016 Taco will not do the same.

    Well that certainly sucks...
I just bought my 2015 last month. The teasers sounds more sportier and looks like I came with a facelift. I'll have to see the specs and reviews before considering a trade in.

lol I wouldn't be too worried. I'd wait for the 2nd or 3rd year so the initial bugs are fixed. Gives you a chance to enjoy your new truck.

Ain't even kinda interested. I'll let all the rest pee themselves over an entirely new model and sit back and wait a few years until the problems get worked out. Been major burned several times before on 1st year model vehicles. Not ever again for me.
