I sold my factory wheels to a guy that has a 4runner he wants to sell. It's a 2005 limited v8 4wd. Leather, sunroof, every option imaginable, everything works and is very clean. I've always wanted a 4runner, just have never bought one. He agreed if I want it, he would sell for 10k it has 150,000 miles on it. I would need to do the timing belt and water pump but that's no big deal. Parts are 200ish.. My questions are: is that really worth pursuing? And how much more service could I really look at getting out of this vehicle? I have my 2009 dcsb sport 4x4, and I just bought a 2015 FR-S but she drives that everyday now. I'm just looking for a dd vehicle for me that's reliable to keep the miles down on the Tacoma. Mileage isn't really an issue for me. Thanks!

The 4.7 is a good engine but thing you need to worry about is how he really took care of it during those 150k miles. KBB is 11,388 in very good condition.

it's probably a good buy. those 4runners are nice and the 4.7 is a solid engine. i prefer the 4.0 v6 ones though because it's so tried and true.
