It's the holidays, man. People are busy. It's not due to the challenge.

Monte, do you want to continue this one for a week or have the winner select a new one? Maybe leave that up to them? ha

Nah as everyone has said hunting season, holidays, school, travel, rough time of year to find time for much of anything. Did I mention it is still hunting season? ;)

I just haven't been around, life has been weird and more recently work is super tense as I'm sure you guys who have been keeping up with the events in NYC and other areas know. So much overtime and so many assholes.

Haha if I see this in the middle of Winter in small town South Dakota, and their moving fast enough to get some motion blur, you better believe I'm taking photos of it!

They don't have to be moving fast to get motion blur. You just have to move the camera well with a slow ass shutter speed

LOL Truth! After my next conference call I'm going out to blow the snow out of the driveway. Again. Hmmm if the girlfriend was here to run the blower I could try to freeze (pun intended) the snow coming out of the chute....

Really glad this challenge was extended -- I was looking forward to it but ran out of time.

Visiting the folks for Christmas and my dad has his childhood model train set up. An idea was born. Here's my entry for the panning challenge:

    32024faca2d146f23c4eb5075b61ed2a_adacc7402978c08e5c5129d73f9d71837efeb178.jpg

Backdrop was a few of a presents under the tree and a string of Christmas lights. Used a flash to bring up the detail on the train. My brother was running the train and helped with the flash setup. He knows a lot more about photography than I do.

Glad to see this extended, I wanted to try my hand at it, but same excuses as every one else, tack on picking up shifts from the married crews, it gets a bit chaotic at the end of the year.

Even if I don't get to enter this one I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys got :)
