Everything and anything you hate about driving on the roadways - post up!

I love driving my truck but I hate being around the other people on the road. My biggest complaint - is SAFETY.

I've got many rants...but I'll start off with one of them....

My biggest pet peeve... people who stop in the middle of flowing traffic - for whatever reason....in most cases, they stop to let someone turn in front of them. An accident waiting to happen. Oh yeah, rubber neckers too....

Ain't nothing more scary than 60mph traffic coming to a sudden slow-down of 20mph in a matter of 1/4 mile. I've been on the receiving end of a serious rear-end collision/pileup because of this type of behavior. The people who cause this kinda crap never even realize what happens behind them.

Rubber neckers are so annoying. Here in Arizona they do it for cops, accidents, and road construction like they've never seen dirt being moved around before. It's like a demolition derby down here, every day I see multiple accidents in my short drive to and from work from people just being morons.

My biggest one is letting people from South Carolina drive. What were they thinking?

Also on the list, lack of turn signals, senile old people, little girls in big SUVs with their phone, big SUVs, young kids in luxury cars, tailgating to intimidate people, road rage, I could go on, but I'm trying to get some work done today.

    Just a few

    • People who turn without using their turn signals
    • People who tailgate people
    • People who insist on doing 55mph on the highway even though the speed limit is 70mph
    • People who drive at night with no lights on
    • People who feel like weaving through traffic in their riced hondas make them cool
    • Cars with a loud after market exhaust when the vehicle is a base model compact car
    • People who throw shit at other vehicles. If somebody ever does this to me it may very well be the last thing they do.
    • People who stop to let every last vehicle they can into traffic
    • People who do burn outs at every light
    • People who think that because their car cost over $40K they must floor it everywhere they go
    • Cars with extremely loud stereos and base to the point I can hear you when I'm 10 cars back
    • Old, lifted cars with huge "dubs:
    • People who talk on cell phones will driving
    • People who read books while driving (this scares the shit outta me)
    • People who do their makeup while driving
    • Hybrid owners and their smug faces
    • People who drive under the speed limit
    • People who drive the speed limit in very bad weather
    • Idiots who try to drive through flooded streets in their Camry
    • People who cant park
    • Tons of bumper stickers
    • GT-R/Type R/SE-R/Spec V/GT badges on a vehicle that is not any of those things
    • Cheap HID kits

Cars with 400 pounds of aftermarket fiberglass glued all over, huge wings and the douche driving is practically laying down. He can't see over the steering wheel, the fake hood scoop, or behind him because of the wing, but is weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed.

    I forgot.

People who dont pull over when an ambulance/fire truck is trying to get somewhere. Get the fuck out of the way. How would you feel if it was your shit burning down or your ass in need of an ambulance?

People who don't get over while passing cops (who have pulled somebody over) when its safe. Seriously, if I was a cop I would not like it when somebody flys past me doing 70 when I'm trying to give johnny jackass a ticket.

The guy who waits at the big white line at a traffic light for the opposing traffic to clear, for him to make a left turn. Only the the traffic never clears and here we wait again thru a whole nother cycle. Get your @ss out in the intersection and atleast two of us can go!!!!!!

I've got more, but this is the worst.

Great thread Janster! First is tailgaters. Second-how about the buttead that accellerates on you when you signal to move into the lane he's in just cause he doesnt want you there. Ive seen them do this to alot of people! I found a solution;put your signal on when you're alongside them then when they see the signal already going as you pass them for some reason they actually back off! Another effective thing to do is if somebody's tailing you too close roll down your window and sweep your hand in a backwards motion like "get away from me"-you'd be shocked at how many back off cause a lot of them are zombied out and dont realize theyre too close!

Many annoyances stem from 2 simple issues:

    1. People don't realize that they aren't the only vehicle on the road.
    2. EVERY individual is certain that they are a great driver.

oh yeah, and people that "drive" around their trucks with roll cages. They probably don't even have a driveshaft.

Those people are as bad as the monster lifted domestics that never go offroad.

*people that because they turn on the hazard lights, thinks they can stop wherever they want...
*people that wants to turn from the farthest side of the road into the opposite side....
*bus drivers (the local ones have a sign that reads "continuous stops" they have to add: Wherever the f... i want)
*kids driving their parents luxury cars
*drug lords and dealers driving their big ass trucks and suvs (mark lt, can you put more chrome in that POS, avalanche, cadillacs, navigator, etc) h8 those SOB's intimidating honest citizens...
*Bastards who park in restricted zones....
    *Corrupt transit cops...
*Wealthy guys with their escorts and bodyguards tailgating them, driving irresponsible, intimidating and putting everyone else's life at risk:mad: (f......ing juniors)
*people that don't use their turn signals....

The list could go on and on....but i better stop.... damn..... i should post some of these on the "why you hate that guy thread" i thought i didn't hate anyone.... LOL

:) This is great...I love reading the responses. I can relate to everything everyone has already said!!

Do you guys find yourself playing a psudo *driving game*?

I find myself predicting what these idiots will do before they do it.

What the hell is the sense of putting your turn signal on when you're already half way into the turn? Duh!

Or....those people who don't pay attention to the road lanes/turning lanes. They'll ride along in the X turn lane - either on purpose to get ahead of everyone else or they just aren't paying attention .....then they'll squeeze their ars in front of you. Depending on my mood - I'll accelerate on purpose and stay right beside them so they can't get over.

OOooo and when two lanes merge into one - I guess they don't see the signs.... but they'll just keep driving like nothing is happening forcing you to move outta their way. Again - I'll speed up and force them to get behind me, or....when they effectively cut me off, I'll get right behind their back window and blow my horn for a good 10 seconds. My horn needs a good blow-out once in a while.

I'm awefull.... but again, it's the *Driving Game*

    Another one.

When there is heavy traffic on the interstate (like going under 30mph) when people pass in the emergency lane. I like to pull far enough over so they cant do it without going in the grass. Ass holes.
