I am trying to connecting the chassis ground wire to neutral, or not, for a three wire electric cord for an electric dryer's terminal block? The installation manual has procedure for both, depending on local electrical code requirements. With the chassis connected to neutral, I am thinking that there could be a higher potential on the chassis due to the resistance in the wiring back to the main breaker due to more current form the 120 volt motor, timer, etc., on one hot leg than the other referenced to the ground chassis on the washer. On the other hand, without the chassis ground to neutral, there is potentially a much larger safety problem if either hot leg shorts to the chassis. A simple solution would be to ground the chassis to a grounded metal cold water pipe, but with Pex, there are almost non-existent now. Was there a NEC change? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

...finally finished the drop-in tool tray for my workbench build... I tried my hand at box-joints for the main carcass joinery... :D I also "pin" the joints at each corner (top and bottom) w/ 1/4" walnut dowels..

...my "hope" is this will now help declutter my workbench, and facilitate better "productivity" :D...:(

thankyou! ...i'm very happy w/ the bench, although, being a newbie, the way I built it was a bit more "tortured" than it had to be (...hindsight)... ;)

Anyone that can help me with a window issue?
Getting ready to paint this room for my own 3rd son that's on the way. Today I noticed this...[IMG]
window looks like it's moved. Sure enough I'm able to slightly move the bottom of the window in and out. Not loose enough where it seems the whole thing will fall out. But there is play in it.
I looked all around the frame and didn't see screws that might be holding it in place. Only thing I did see was these...[IMG]
they are about 3 quarters of the way down the frame of the window. Tightening them did not seem to do anything. Still play on bottom of window frame.

This is the brand if it helps...[IMG]
I don't know a whole lot about replacing windows. Should or can I drill a couple holes in the side of the window frame and run some screws in? I don't want a loose window in my new baby's room. Let alone my 2yo running around.

Just noticed this in the 6 months we've lived here. Don't remember seeing that during my home inspection when we bought the house. Didn't really go in that room much except for storing stuff that we got for baby on the way.

Thanks in advance for any help.
