    I just did this mod. Seems to work fine. It seems to take a while to get it to lock - 20-30 seconds or so. Is that normal?

    Thats pretty common either with or without the MOD, you'll find that the more you engage it the easier & quicker it'll become...

    Grey wire mod, 3 inch level/lift kit from Truxx, 3 inch body lift, 285-70-17 (33's) on pro comp xtremes, custom rear tube bumper, cold air intake by Spectra, corner turn signal mod/ fog light where old turn signals were, hid headlights by vvme, smoke headlights and taillights by spyder, flow master muffler, tinted windows, red led turn signals and brake lights, brushguard and taillight guards yet to put on, MORE TO COME: relocate rear diff breather, black front bumper filler, shackles on front end, IF ANYONE HAS ANYMORE IDEAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
    Just did the mod since I put a new e locker motor on yesterday, so I did this today. Took about 20 minutes because I ground the grey wire from the wiring harness instead of grounding the grey wire from the connector that plugs into the 4x4 black box

    Just a heads up on anyone about to do this mod, remember to ground the grey wire pigtail out of the white connector that plugs into the 4x4 box

    Just a great mod, I love using the locker in 2wd. It has a lot more power. I LOVE IT!
    a must do mod for anyone with an e locker

    I didn't think there was a single cab 1st gen TRD w/locker ??...:confused::confused:

    But if for whatever reason you DID have the E-locker I'd think the process was the same...

    Is it possible to just cut the wire far enough away from the connector that you directly ground the same grey wire and wont need to use another piece of wire to connect to the grey wire and then ground? Sorry i would look but i dont have a taco YET :rolleyes:
