When people say on all the time, do they mean even the day time? Why? The son is shining?!?!

Anyway I drive with them off except for "bad" weather. Does it kill your battery life quicker? If not then I should start having them on all the time at NIGHT so I can see better. Sometimes I feel like my headlights are not even on.

If the sun just being out and shiny is enough, why are day time running lights becoming more popular as safety features? I leave mine on because it's easier to just leave the switch on since I don't need to turn them on or off as they turn on and off with the key. So it's an easy way to be more visible to other drivers without doing anything extra. Considering before the mod I was pulled out in front of and cut off more times than I can count I'd rather have other people see me better. At least until I get a steal plate bumper that won't shatter like the factory one under the slightest tap.

Ooops I forgot about DTRL's. :anonymous:

RAM them from behind once you get your Steel bumper! :D

 Push bumper, sliders, and a rear bumper are on my wish list. :D

Seriously though, if they were offroad lights I'd have them off. But they're nearly useless for anything other than increased visibility to other drivers, and lighting up the sides of the road/20ft in front of me at night. Granted, that's useful for spotting deer or when the road turns into grass or a ditch since half the ones out here aren't painted, but they aren't that bright. It's no worse than the DTRLs that use the main headlight, and work better I think because I turn the side marker lights on too so my tail lights are on. So people coming up behind me in the shadows of a tree lined road or early morning as the sun's coming up can see me better. Most DTRL's don't turn on the tail lights. Like no one ever needs to see you from the back.

Usually off. But I have a parking garage at work, and quite a few tunnels in my area (where lights-on is required) so sometimes I forget to put them off. But, normally I'll do fog, rain, "misty" or that gray crappy weather where it'd daylight and still poor visibility.

Fog lights should be used only in low visibility conditions. End of Story.

Around here that's every day given the lack of awareness of most of the other drivers.... Thus the reason mine are never off. Even with them on my truck is apparently invisible to many people.:smack:

Thanks! :D Seriously though, I can't count the number of people that have cut me off, almost side swiped me trying to merge into my lane before clearing the front of the truck, or just pulled out in front of me like I wasn't there.

And that's in broad daylight, no rain, fog, snow, or shadows covering the road. So my fogs are on all the time, and I leave my lights set at parking/driving mod so the turns, sides and tails are on. I *really* want to install a set of train horns just to wake those sumbitches up when they're 10ft from my front bumper.

I don't know what it is but I find many of the newer vehicles with fog lights are way too bright. Then you get people on perfectially clear days driving with fog lights on. It's not foggy, its not cloudy, misty, raining or anything. I think it looks prety foolish and shows a poor attitude towards other drivers. I wish there was some sort of law banning the use of fog lights in ideal conditions.

I wish there were a law banning stupid, distracted, unaware, oblivious drivers... Oh wait, there already ARE laws for those things, but it makes no difference. Honestly, I'd have no problem leaving mine off if I hadn't almost been in countless accidents due to people not seeing my truck.

Depends on my mood and the weather. Sometimes, I use them and sometimes not. With the new HID fogs, I'll be using them for sure because they look so damn good. :)

I only use mine when weather or night driving conditions require it...but if someone thinks that their truck looks better with them on all the time...more power to them. Personal taste is just that...it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks about it. I'll always offer and accept anyone's opinion but in the end it's about what I like for me.
