I was thinking about it but I like how it flows with the chrome bummer in the rear. If i were to color match Id have to color match the rear bumper to which I may do.

As far as mods go I was thinking and any input anyone has would be great sense I am very familiar with Volkswagen vendors and not so much Toyota:

A Leveling kit to bring the front end up slightly but im not sure if it needs it just something I was thinking.

Wheel Spacers seems like 1.25 is the size to go any input on this would be great.

    AFE drop in intake filter

I think I'm going to remove all the chrome emblems, the rear window tint and mudflaps.

and then possibly do exhaust later on.

Thank you! I still kicking myself for selling her! Was definitely one of the longest cars I have owned and never had any problems but I'm hoping to break that record with this Tacoma.

Also I visited Toyota Stealership today to get all the recalls and inspection done. What I paid for was an automatic transmission service and oil change.

I was told that the water pump leaks and needs to be replace but looking at it myself I cant seem to see any issues will look closer tomorrow.

This is my to do list if anyone has any suggestions It would be must appreciated.

    To Do:

    Intake / Cabin Filter

    Climate Control Bulb replacement

    Front and Rear Dif service

    Drive Shaft re-greasing?

    Trans case service

and if need be: Water pump with gaskets, serpentine belt, belt tension pulleys, thermostat and thermostat housing replacement.

The truck has about 130k and I have no history of services preformed on it so any other suggestions would be great!

    First off. Awesome.

    I love the Ghia.

Ive owned a Rabbit, a B3, and 2 MK2s. I still have one of the MK2s, but its all torn apart. My old lady has a MK4.

Is the caddy Slate Grey Metallic? My buddy has a Slate Grey Metallica '81 Sportruck.

Also lovin the R32 with the RPF1s on it.

    This is my MK2 -

    And this is my girlfriend's MK4 -

I bought my Tacoma to replace the MK2 as a daily driver. I actually like the Tacoma more than I like my VW.

    This is my Tacoma -

    B20DD3D6-B2D2-428B-8926-20C6EBA6B0DA_zps_ac0ad2dbd7e4a7a6c153074ab80e46e5b29847d9.jpg

I think you'll really enjoy your Tacoma too.

As for the lift/leveling kit, I'd really recommend looking into Bilstein 5100's all around. The fronts are adjustable and the dampening on them is the perfect mix for both off and on road driving.

1.25" Spidertrax spacers are the perfect choice if you plan on keeping the OEM wheels. I've been running them on mine since I bought my truck and love the way it pushed the wheels out. They also made a noticeable difference in the stability of the truck.

Unlike most members on here, I like the chrome and plan on keeping it on my truck

Nice man love the Vw's very clean I will always have a place in my heart for the mkII's probably will get one again one day and clean Tacoma it looks great! As far as the caddy I do believe that is the color but its been a long time I could be wrong. I am enjoying my Tacoma its a good change totally different then what I have been used to driving and I'm definitely excited for what is to come with the truck.

I will definitely look into the bilstien 5100's can just the front be purchased because I believe the rear suspension is in decent shape and all im looking for really is to bring the front up a tad bit not a huge amount but just to get rid of the rake it may slightly have at this moment gonna do some measurements on flat ground one of these days to really see.

Also any suggestions on the best place to buy the spidertrax spacers at? They don't make the tires poke out farther then the suspension do they I'm looking for a nice flush look not mexi poke ha and will 1.25 be good all around?

    Have a Good One!

Thanks! The MK2 is currently in about 400000 pieces in the body shop.

Id replace all 4 shocks/struts just for the peace of mind. The 5100s are a much stiffer shock than the stock Bilsteins. I replaced all of mine on my truck (the fronts at 48k miles and the rears at 62k miles) and it really made a huge difference. You can set the fronts from anywhere between 0-2.5" of lift. The rears 5100s are the same length as the stock ones, so they work well with no lift. On my truck the fronts are at 1.75" and the rear is lifted 1.5" with the 5100s all around.

The Spidertrax put the stock wheel/tire right at the edge of the fender - http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wh...-spidertrax-spacers-w-stock-wheels-tires.html

As for purchasing them, you find them used on here for a pretty good deal. Most companies sell them new for right around 100$ for a set of 2. Check out Wheelers Off-road, Ive had good luck with that company.

Awesome man! I appreciate all the info. I think ill probably try and score a used set of spacers and then get suspension later on down the road.

    Happy Holidays!

I had an R32 for about 18 months. Glad I sold it while everything worked. Fun car. Owned many VW over the years. '07 Passat was last one, not reliable. German car with 3rd world electronics. Every part was made in Pakistan or that region. After 4th clockspring in 15 months, I bid adieu. Adiós

So just wanted to do a quick update on the truck. I got rid of the mudflaps, and chrome emblems along with other little black pieces around the truck. I put on some 1.25" spacers cant really tell from the pics but I'm liking how the tires are flush with the fenders now.

I think whats to come next is suspension. Anyway here are some quick pics I snapped will try and get some better pics up later. Happy New Year!

Six speed would be sweet I do miss a manual transmission but sadly its just a boring automatic :p If the transmission ever goes out I may swap in a 6 speed.
