Yeah the temperature is supposed to drop to the mid 30's later. Luckily I won't have to be out in it. Got almost 2" of rain yesterday. I know that cold front is coming :rain:

Thanks. I am debating on letting a shop install it but I'm sort of a perfectionist and probably will save a hundred or 2 doing it myself.

Do you have anyone at all that could help in a tight spot? I mean like, "hey hold this right here for a minute" kind of stuff. I often get my wife to help out on stuff in the garage for the little bits that just need an extra hand or two for a few minutes. If you know what I mean? I can see with something like that how you might be on one side of the bed and need something held in place on the other side. :notsure:

EDIT: I shouldn't think you'll have any problem putting installing it, just always seems there's that one part of any job that an extra pair of hands would help.

Nah. I'm a lone wolf. :tumbleweed: And most my friends (in college) are out of town. I've read on here a few ppl doing it themselves but is much easier with 2 ppl. We will see. I really hope it increases gas mileage.

I clicked on your fuelly link, just my old man gut feeling, but I'd bet it won't make a lot of difference for you. My guess is your ratio of city to hwy is what is killing your MPG average. Also, and this is just speculation by me because mine is manual trans 4cyl, at the speeds your driving around town does the auto trans hunt between OD (5th) and 4th gear? If so, you might try turning off the overdrive in town. On my 5 spd manual, I rarely shift into 5th below 55 mph.

Like I said, just speculation. :notsure:

Morning. No liftstation today. Think my supervisor was going to save that for next week. It still hammers a little after re piping from 3 to 2". Never seen one done in 3" I got 2 out of tank and into 3 but it still has about 6' of 3" vertical. May take it out and replace with 2.
I think phones go to emergency only at noon.thru monday. Would be nice to get home before the feeder.
    You workin?

The Estwing hatchet I bought isn't the best for field dressing. The leather handle is shellac ed and is real slippery if wet. My gerber with poly handle is better.

Noted. I really like my buck set I picked up about 5 yrs ago; I have a gerber with poly handle too, plus a gerber hand saw ... very handy for field dressing.

EDIT: and this little baby is the shit for skinning.

Yeah ok, but if he's in the rotation shouldn't he take the calls and do the work? I get you gotta do what you gotta do, but it'd be nice not to worry about being called in when you're not "on call." Or maybe I'm missing something ... :notsure:
