Soooooo. Not a 'car guy' huh?

I've had multiple rides with over 100k that looked pretty darn fresh. Even my 150k beaters with peeling paint/clear coat look pretty good under hood.

It's not that hard with a little bit of regular effort.

Many of mine have been 'seen' at local car shows and motorsport events. But I don't even care about that. I just enjoy having it clean for myself.

Dad taught me how to keep a clean bay and chassis way back when. Then I worked for a specialty mechanic (you'd call him a 'tuner' now) when I was 19 or so, and he'd charge extra if the car had a dirty bay. One of my minion tasks was cleaning up the bay before giving the car back to the customer..........

My hubby is deployed. Every now and then he gets some time to play on the internet and saw your dolled-up motor post. He asked me if I would doll up the motor of our Tacoma for him. My sister and I were talking and decided we would try. First we washed the motor! Then we pulled the truck into the garage. We could only close the garage door down to the back of the truck. I put on a very tiny bikini he bought me and sat on the front part of the truck (in the freezing cold!) with the motor door open. We took a bunch of pictures. He got the email yesterday and was a very happy boy.

Thank you Mr OP for the best idea of a Christmas present for my husband. God Bless my guy and all the men and women he so faithfully serves with. By the way, he said that your motor looked really nice but he liked his dolled up motor even better.
