First and foremost, the Taco is a work mule. Always has been, always will be.

Sure, you can doll her up, make her pretty, what have you. But underneath, where it counts, she's got oomph.

This is the heaviest I hauled in my truck this far, I think. Over the summer moving 25 bags of mulch (30lbs each), 4 bags of top soil, and 1 big bag of potting soil might have been the heaviest.

Had 30 bags of mulch in my dad's truck at one point too, but no pic of that.

Not a Tacoma, but my boss at the farm has a 2014 Tundra 5.7L double cab and we were moving his girlfriend up, this was heavy with the bed and the back seats full

I don't have a picture nor would it of been impressive to see.

I had 1/2 ton of wood pellets in the bed of the tacoma. Didn't even know it was there nor did it even seem to squat it down any. Hauled them 250 miles with no trouble didn't even lose any mpg. Still averaged 20 for the tank

Almond Orchard Sprayer - self-powered with John Deere 4045T 4 Cylinder Turbo-Diesel Engine mounted in "front" of the large flotation tires. Lots of tongue weight here, and probably 8,000 lb. dry weight.....12,000 lb. when fully loaded of water + chemical.

EDIT: Actual machine weight 5,900 lbs. dry....9,900 with a full tank of water + material.

Yeah, I was almost on the bump stops :) By far the most I have ever carried and I should have used my 2500HD for the haul. I thought I was just going to take down a tree at my co-workers house. When he asked if I wanted to take it home, I couldn't refuse. I wish I could have taken it home in 10 foot lengths to run through my mill. But it was way too heavy. We used the ramps to roll the rounds up into the bed, the big rounds were easily over 250 lbs each. It took me three trips, twice with the tacoma and once with the Silverado.
