France gun ownership per capita is 30 people per 100, so you would prefer France over Canada.

Rates of literacy in English and French is probably higher per capita in France and Canada though.

 

Literacy rates, according to the CIA, are the same for all 3 countries at 99%. DoorDing doing his best to represent the 1%.

 

Canada does have about 70 international schools operating under the Cdn Education model. Most of these schools are in Asia. Not sure what we do for 'down here'. I know we export doctors and nurses from our universities to the US, but I think teachers are at the low end of the economic scale on the US; one less incentive to go teach in the US at grade school level.

 

Personally I think the Waldorf education model is the route to go.

kids do stupid shit and sometimes they really need an ass whuppin. when me and my brothers were waiting for the bus (6-10 years old), my bro threw a rock and destroyed a lady's windshield. luckily no one was hurt, what happened?

Well, our asses hurt....Dad gave all of us the Ass whuppin of the century that was well deserved...we didn't do that again.

I only read the first page of this thread. I'm limited on internet right now because of my reception around here, but I WILL say, just based on the first page alone (seeing that there are 10 more pages ensuing, that this thread is full of win!

Obviously those kids parents didn't whip that ass enough for him to understand the difference between right and wrong. Then again, no matter what you do as parents, kids will be kids. Destruction of belongings that are not yours is common for kids. I'm pretty sure many of us were guilty of it as some point. Lol.

a few years ago I was driving down the road and heard a snap and saw a bunch of kids go running, I jusped out of my truck to run after them thinking they had put a spike strip or something. Then I saw it was just duct tape, couldn't do anything other then laugh. Simple harmless prank.
