Just wanted to show fellow TACO fans how rugged these trucks are. I flipped my 01 TRD -- actually, somersaulted going highway speed, but am alive to show you the photos :)

Lost control on the highway, and luckily no one was around. Went through a barbed wire fence into a pasture, flipped at least once, and landed on the driver's side. Have to admit, I don't remember exactly what airborne maneuvers happened. Didn't hit anything except the ground. Seeing damage to both front & back ends + roof, I'm guessing I hit the ground more than once. Literally somersaulted.

Strangely enough, the airbag didn't deploy.

Everyone who's seen my truck (especially those at the crash) can't believe I crawled out (the rear window frame) with only a few bumps. My cousin said my TRD died a hero. RIP.

I bought my 01 TRD new and took good care of it. It served me well and I will miss it :(

Good job, looks like a typical Texas accident...I suspect it will end up in Mexico and rebuilt. I remember when I parked my worn out 94 Toy pickup, five lug, standard cab on HWY 243 in Van Zandt County with a 4 sale sign...someone stole the sign, but the truck still sold.

Glad you made it out alive...do we have a toxicology report?

Didn't need one. I was on my way to work. EMS took my vitals and let me go. Trooper drove me home.

Glad to hear, I just remember the amount of "compromised" driving is dry counties after dark...

    Wow, glad you are alive.

Is the center console still intact? If so, can I buy it from you? :)

So what you're saying is you were wearing your seatbelt.

That's some pretty impressive carnage tbh. Remarkable you didn't have any major injuries.

    Always.

Yeah, that's how I felt. Folks at the crash were concerned if I had injuries. The only injury was my pride. I really liked that truck.
