Replaced the compressor on a much more stable bracket thanks to some scrap road sign. Great aluminum to work with if you can get your hands on some. Snagged a new air tank from a job site too so if anyone wants my old one its waiting for ya

Hard work pays off. I think I'm gonna sleep in here for the next few nights.

Bed rack was a quick and dirty one using two sticks of Unistrut and some spring nuts.
To be specific, two 56" lengths of Unistrut, four 90's, a couple flat pieces and spacer plates so the actual bed sides support the weight instead of the flimsy bed rails, which will flex by hand if you put any leverage on them.
Pics to follow and once I get a proper bed rack I'll give this thing away to anyone who wants it.

Why didn't anyone tell me that spring nuts fit perfectly into our bed rails? Makes life so easy when you need to make a rack etc.

No stock spare - so much more room for activities

After a long debate, I mounted my air tank and simply put it in line with a T instead of an inlet and outlet port. Anyone think it'll make any difference? In theory all the air in the system is the same fluid so direction shouldn't matter but my dad disagrees. Ideas?

Put in a k&n air filter cause I'm sick of replacing the paper ones every couple thousand miles. Not too thrilled about the 50% more air flow claim but that debate will rage on forever I suppose.
Gave me like a hundred extra HP brahh

Just got some KC cyclones. These things are tiny! They're perfect. Redoing the hood lights soon and I'll likely rip out the bed lights and use three of them back there.
Also got the allpro u bolt flip kit but the timbren bumps are on back order till the week after the annual superstition meet ... Rats.

Spencer, are you using an iPhone? or android device? - I ask this to help you out with the pics.

If it is an android device. Update the app the image upload process is easier and better. more stream lined. Actually uploads them in proper format inline vs as an attachment.

If its the iPhone, take a look when you are uploading the images. See if there is a different option. Like instead of attachment, as image. or similar.

    Well now I feel stupid...
I used to use it on the iPhone app till that got stolen then moved over to android and didn't realize I could log into Tapatalk with my fb account
Let's see if it works now 3fec7089deabd1c47cd1dc34e283f269_929375a2e52b0d1f0d76f1cd3fb1f4173ca756db.jpg

Figured out that using spray adhesive works a hundred times easier than tape!

    Let's see if that worked

Holy crap I didn't realize how bad the pics have been! If you use the app it doesn't seem to be that bad but looking at the desktop version sucks! Thanks for saying something man

Yes. thats better. if you look now, the link that is. It uploads to tapatalk.imageshack vs just as an attachment. so it uses an actual image hosting site.
Pro's and con's to both. For the masses using the desktop version, imageshack option is best. I use multiple platforms and this method makes all of them about = when it comes to the images.

Just trying to help is all man. - nice to add a few tricks to the arsenal.

only other thing I could do is give you this tip. Hit "ENTER" before you insert the pic. Just a cleaner format. So it looks like this ->

Easiest under hood lights in the whole world. 40 bucks in KC cyclones, a rivet nut and you're good to go. Thank you Toyota for these nifty little mounting holes already in the hood

    Just some harbor freight thing.
I used the smaller holes already in the hood
I think they take 6/32 thread machine screws.
Given a choice I would have used the bigger holes with a bigger rivet nut though. Either way, they're solid.

There are nice ones you can find online, however, I stick with american parts because my garage is stocked up with 60 years worth of 4x4 projects and construction job leftovers.
It was a cheap 15$ kit from harbor freight I'm too lazy to google it myself lol
Comes with a rivnut gun and a couple dozen rivnuts of different sizes. I'd spring for a nicer set but I very rarely use this thing so mehh. This works great for little stuff.
Wish you were more local man my garage is a paradise for build threads. 3 phase air compressor, welders and a garage lift and a lime tree next to the fridge full of corona. If I'm not at work I'm fuckin around in there working on something or other

Nice. When I am working on things, I like to keep components all matching so I do not have to bring extra stuff on excursions. i.e.. the metric rivnuts.

That garage looked extensive from the boxes I have seen already.

My goal is to have a single family house and a workshop soon. If I can get this business running right. By the end of 2015 I hope to have a large enough down payment for a house somewhere with a little piece of property to do as I wish with the family.
