    Funny when you tell the grown kids they are not doing it right by being the lil kids best pal.. the kids have lots of pals you ARE THE MOM & DAD act like it.. No one talks to you the rest of the day.. Man that worked out perfect..:cool:

    I snapped one of my grandkids back into line with a "bark" yesterday, and I do so fairly regularly. My own son commented it was uncalled for ... I commented, "no it wasn't." If I'd been quicker, I could have said "it worked on you." :)

    Using the "pal" technique seems to be societally popular for some damn reason, but it leads directly to the kid manipulating the parent. :( I see the grands try it all the time.
    Interesting part is, when all us adults are sitting there watching TV, I'm still the one they'll climb over the dog to sit in my lap and snuggle with. I really wish we'd quit trying to complicate things these days.

    Hope everyone had a great Christmas. The weather here was pretty nice for late December, close to 50 in the early afternoon. Got the bike out for about 30 miles after work. My grandson was pretty well behaved yesterday, but he's only 18 months old. Next year will be different, I'm sure.

    It was good. We do most of our stuff on Xmas eve- no kids here so we don't have to wait for Santa ;) Yesterday was just a lazy day. Dad and I shoveled snow and had a cribbage tourney. That was the height of excitement around here.
    Moms doing better thanks. I'm hiding while she cleans the kitchen, I know when to get out of the way. :rolleyes:
