The point your missing is that he was venting about the overall build of his truck and not about your company in particular. I know as well as I'm sure you do that custom work takes time and that deadlines are merely goals. Things always come up and builds take time. I've built a few trucks myself and have grown accustomed to the set backs and delays that happen.

My issue with your comments is that your belittling a customer on-line "about how things work in the industry" over a perceived insult towards your company. He has come forward and addressed that with little effect.

I know you guys make amazing stuff but your behavior isn't building a loyal customer base. Everything you say and do even on your own time is a direct reflection of your company.

Sooooo....if I wanted to get some 18" 650 coils...would any want my 18" 700lb ones? Eibach coils. Brand new...think they might be a tad too stiff. Maybe. Still too early to tell but thought I'd throw it out there..

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
For those that are plating the rear frame section and getting the new mounts, where are the mounts for the gas tank going and anyone have any pictures? Or are the mounts on the underside of the bed?

I had cheap Viper springs but it took a couple runs before they loosened up. My first impression was like yours and I was already researching softer springs. After a 2-3 runs they cycled just like they should. Hope that helps.

On ^^^ this build I plated up to the gas tank. Mounts can easily be made to plate up to the the cab. Labor intensive but not hard.

Great in theory. Till the spring rate changes as the shocks heat up.

Hey y'all. Thought I'd pop on in here to say hi and ask some questions.

So the deal is I'm going to be running 2" Total Chaos LT in the near future. I want to get everything right this time, its a big investment. I'm looking for some more opinions on coilovers vs ORIs... I thought the ORIs would be nice because I could adjust the ride height and then make the valving softer... (I think I said that right) I'm not going to be jumping this truck through the desert; I'm going to be crawling. I'd like my suspension to actually flex unlike my current setup. Any recommendations on what coilovers you would go with?
    Thanks!

Yea I'm gonna wait a bit. Was just curious.

    Make him fatter I guess.

    MORE GUSSETS!

    No thanks

    ADS man.

ORIs are cool, my dad has them. But they are moody. Temp changes main. Lift will change and ride.

    Almost everything
You're able to keep the gas tank mounts no problem. Just have to pull the lines on the inside of the frame rails and then plate it up. It fits back in no problem. I played my rails all the way tell it turns into a box frame by the trans

Just gives you a little extra clearance for the whoops ;)

Actually I have yet to notice this and the whoops I was running got my rear kings so hot they almost boiled the water I poured on them, but the ORI's were still cool.

I have had the ride height change with enviromental changes. Especially when it's in the 70's one day and 20's the next. I have yet to notice the pressure affect the valving though. The valving is all still based on oil flow in them.

Changing the air pressure affects the valving about as much as changing the coil on a coilover does.

Overall I don't think ORI's have much business on an IFS desert rig yet. They might be ok on a 2wd since they are lighter but I am well over their weight limit. They were designed for racing solid axled buggies that are lightweight and have 1:1 travel ratios.

My fat rig with a 2:1 travel says I need to dual up the ORI's. Especially since recommended max pressure is 600psi and I have to run over 800psi just to get about 2" of lift.

Though they have been keeping up with my DMZ rear and I'm still running stock lowers up front so I can't speak too poorly of them.

My dad is close to 800 too. They just can't cope with the weight well enough.

Still ride nice and work fine. But for a full on lt rig Id go ads.
