    No, they were designed for class 11 VW bugs in the late 60's. There are sure a lot better options out there for a go fast Tacoma. No offense to Brady who is literally in his own private Idaho, but stick to a proven combo, or you will be spending money twice.

    This man speaks the truth. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the features/adjustability you get with ORI's, but the tuning expertise out there pales in comparison to a traditional coilover.

    That and seeing Alex's truck collapse on one side for no apparent fucking reason makes me glad I still have a spring.

    Better question is are you located near the coast or snowy roads? Read this as...is there salt in your environment?

    Fox are great shocks, but their coating sucks. King or ADS is my suggestion if you are in that kind of environment.

    Pretty much all the major brands offer a resi adjuster at this point. Just restricts the oil flow into the resi

    If you got the time and tools, than go for it.

    Wax helps, but eventually will wear off and you'll need to repeat.
    Clearcoat works, but can look like shit if not done right. Just keep the paint off the shaft. You only need to worry about the steel shock body itself. The ends and caps are typically aluminum.

    Fluid Film works wonders as an afterthought alternative. That's all I've ever used and still have no corrosion on any of my shocks (except my fox bumps) and I typically have snow on the ground 4-5 months a year.

    But on the subject of coatings....
    For those in really shitty environments, ADS does a cadmium plating to theirs...and then shoots a ceramic clear coat over it so you don't have to.

    just curious, how is it like a double bypass if it affects the oil flow into the resi throughout the entire stoke of the shock vs a certain point of travel like a bypass tube?

    It's not at all like a bypass ha biggest thing they help with is cavitation. Really only useful on a coilover

    All the ones we had in stock sold this week. I'm waiting on parts from Toyota to get some more built. I'll keep you posted on when the parts come in. The holidays are not helping!

    Yeah I've heard foxes corrode... But there is fluid film for that.

    Can someone explain the bypass to me a little more? It just makes it easier or harder for the shock to compress right?

    Bypass tubes are dependent on the position of the shaft. Whereas normal valving is speed sensitive

    cool just let me know... need the trans mount bad, I cant get the stock one to stay tightened and shakes all over while in drive and idling.

    Ok so this is where I get confused if I really need them. So what i leave them set to a stiffer setting on the road, and Then make them soft before I get on the trail? You'd think since normal valving is speed sensitive then I'd be fine with low speed crawling stuff...
