    Anyone here in NJ bought one of the many gen 1's out there that have had the frame replacement done? Seems like there's always a couple being sold through used dealers. Anything to be worried about if it's a clean carfax with the new frame on a gen 1? Just curious.

    Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    If you get a gen 1 that has a new frame you are hitting the lottery. I wish mine had frame replacement instead of sprayed.

    Hilux may be a bit longer with a lower profile and the new one a bit more robust but a bit shorter...
    I'm thinking that in a full frame pic, the new one will flow a bit better

    *this is just me guessing

    So my roommate's dad made him a deal. He'll buy him a brand new Tacoma if he quits smoking cigarettes. If he goes through with it and then starts smoking again he'll have to sell the truck, give his dad whatever $ he gets for it, and he will lose his enheritance of his parents' will.

    He test drove a 2015 sr5 access cab today with a sticker price of $29,8. They've come up a lot since I bought my truck :eek:

    Anyone know of anything around here worth looking at before he buys?

    I told him to get sr5 with the basic "extra value package" (tow package, Bluetooth stereo), then we'll get new suspension for it and put my old 255s on it.
