    Scrub radius applies to all vehicles, not just LT (although depending on the Kit, it can be more noticeable). See below for a visual (even if it is a strut setup instead of dual arms...same concept applies). Essentially imagine an imaginary line between the upper and lower ball joint pivot points. Extend that line to the ground. Ideally you want as close to neutral as you can get so the line would intersect the center of the tire contact patch on the ground. This would provide equal load distribution on the tire. Pushing the tires outboard (reducing backspacing...either by spacers or just different wheel offset) will introduce positive scrub radius and put the load more on the inside of the tires. Aside from the obvious tire wear ramifications, turn initiation, stability, and driver felt perception are all negative effects of scrub radius. And along with that, extra stress on the lug studs and hub bearings.

    Spacers/shorter backspacing is not all bad by any means. In fact it can help scrub radius when stepping up in tire size. Everything else being equal (wheels, suspension, blah), if you went from a 29" to a 35" tire, you'd actually introduce negative scrub radius as the tire is taller and the imaginary line will contact the road at a different point. Reducing the backspacing can put that back into check. It's all a tape measurement game.

    Most commonly used (IMO) are 1.25"

    I have 1.5" allpros. Well..did..still do out back. Not up front anymore.

    Extended thread lugs are also something worth investing in when running spacers.

    Lug studs right?
    ARP makes some that fit our trucks. They are listed for a Lexus, but work perfectly on ours. I'm not at home to dig up the part number, but google search will tell ya.

    Studs would be the more correct way. But extended thread lugs is another easy way to ensure they stay torqued. I check mine every year least twice and they have always been 90ft/lbs no issues. Really helps with the shorter front studs.

    Here is a ET nut next to a standard thread nut
