prob with work or hiking boots is pedal feel. I typically still wear my skate shoes lately I been using my 5.10 downhill shoes as they are grippier on the rocks. but I have my Merrills in the truck if I need anything hardier.

or if it'll be muddy or snowy I'll grab my hiking boots as a back up.

I'll usually bring my birks to moab. but last time I wore them out there I busted my ass and broke a $200 watch

so I have been rocking the skate shoes that have good pedal feel

I agree with Bob. I don't like to wear boots when wheeling because of pedal feel.
I usually wear tennis shoes and keep boots in the truck with the idea of putting them on when I get out.

I don't think I've ever put them on though and I've almost busted my ass numerous times scrambling over rocks in loose tennis shoes.

Try to find a pair of these Solomon's. Ankle high for good feel but hiking boot type grip, super comfy too.

    ...too much shit to list.
I normally wear trail running shoes. Flexy like tennis shoes, but grippy like boots.

Merrels FTMFW. They make a model called the Moab  but some think of them as old-man shoes. I guess I am getting up there...

Moab's aren't bad if you don't mind buying a new pair every 8 months.

I only have to buy every 2 years and I hole 14ers in mine. I wonder why yours wear so fast :notsure:

Edit-sorry to perpetuate the shoe thread, Bob.

Probably due to me wearing them every day for both work and outdoor recreation. I know I won't buy another pair after switching to the Solomon's and seeing how rugged they are.
