No water leaks or anything? Pictures?

 

Not a single leak. Comes with a year warranty if they do. But i have yet to read one bad review.

Is that the rigid bracket that comes with the light or is it another one?

 

The bracket and light bar are from two different companies.

 

The diagram isn't showing up for me. Do you have a mirror? I bought the rigid e2 30 inch lightbar but I also have a switch that should fit in the center console blanks.

 

x2 on Avec light bars. Mike is great to deal with and I've had good luck with his products. I have a 30" bar and a pair of pods, no leaks or issues with any of them. I had Rigid stuff in the past and did not notice any difference when I replaced my Rigid lights with Avec. I actually felt like the wiring harness from Avec was much better, the Rigid one just felt cheap and did not come protected with wire loom (Avec's does). The switch, fuse holder and relay seemed similar on both.

 

It seems like the original picture is gone? What do you mean a mirror? Rear view mirrors?

I bought a Rigid Industries E2 30 inch lightbar and I bought an Air of Board switch for the center console. The wiring from the AoB switch doesn't seem to be the same as the wiring for the switch that came with the lightbar. My plan at this point is to wire the lightbar straight to the switch and not to use the high beams as a second requirement (aka high beams must be on and switch must be pushed, instead it will just be switch has to be pushed).

 

Do you have a picture of the switch or a diagram of it?

 

I think the wiring is like this. The diagram and wiring are in my truck right now, I'll grab a picture of it after work (4-5pm alaska time)

I see 4 wires for the switch I bought and 3 prongs from the switch that it came with.

 

Hey gym, would you mind giving me some assistance as well? I just got a very similar setup as dscott, with a small change. My OEM style switch only has three wires coming from the switch, so I shouldn't have a problem matching them up.

My question concerns the difference in gauges between the wires. The wire harness has 20 AWG wire to the switch, but the OEM switch uses very small wire (high gauge as seen in dscott's picture). My harness has an inline fuse and a relay, which from my understanding makes it so that the current from the light bar doesn't actually run through switch. So my question is, will the tiny wire from my OEM switch overload if I connect them to the switch wires on the wire harness switch? I'd like to avoid ruining a $40 switch

I see. The problem is, I don't know what wire is what on your switch without a diagram cause I have no clue what the green and blue wire is.

Also it seems that the gauge on the wiring is different, is that an issue? Do I just use wire strippers to cut the ends off the bar's wires and attach the switches wires and then put electrical tape over them or what?
