    This is why a lot of people avoid 5.29's on Toyota axles. They break easy. 4.88's are probably not too far off though:notsure:

    Well it's not new is why. If I pulled it now it would be. That's why you have to change the oil so soon. Filled with small pieces and the coating. Very dirty oil.

    As for tether, I was saying earlier that because there are more teeth on the ring gear of the 5.29. Would t that mean more tether in contact with the pinion at the same time? Thus distributing the load across multiple teeth instead of just say one or two. It would be three or 4?

    Idk though honestly.
