I have a '09 dc short bed. Procomp 6" lift and Procomp extreme all-terrains. 35x12.5r18. I don't want 33's. I want to re-gear it but have no idea what ratio i would want to go to. I do mostly city driving, but off-road on the weekends. I'm getting about 14 MPG. Also during highway driving it almost never can shift into 5th gear. it just sits at 3k + RPM's in fourth gear. looking for suggestions...please help. What ratio should i go and how much $ am i looking at?

4:56 would be good. Your looking at about $500 to $600 per axel

Would that ratio make it feel like it is stock again. And is a noticeabledifference in power or gas mileage

Yeah If you going to stay with 35"s then I would say 4.88s. I run 4.56s with my 32"s and soon to be 33"s

It cost me around 800 for both sets of gears with master install kits.
then 400 installed. and if I had to do it again I would send them to www.Gearinstalls.com
But I would order your gears from Chase @ eastcoast gear supply. or Randys ring and pinion.
