    I would think if there was a tooth missing there would be a much louder noise under acceleration. I also heard no hum at all.

    I had the rear tires up in the air with the e brake set. Candice gave it some throttle and the whole axle housing would rock and you could feel it knock every time that tooth went by. Drive shaft looked perfectly fine the whole time. It was extremely consistent too. Took the e brake off and it completely went away...


    The guard around the drain plug is smashed in enough that I can't get the socket on it.

    I just plan on draining the fluid, straining the metal out and dumping the fluid back in and driving it home. Shouldn't take too long after I get a nut welded onto the drain plug. Thanks for the offer though!:D
