    Yup, she's a little heavy. Like I said, I'm guessing that I'm around 5600lbs empty. Maybe a little less if I unload the toolbox. All in all, not too bad.

    I think it's time to figure out my next project though. Wonder if I could pull off a trailing arm suspension teardrop camper by May. :D

    Greg, I'm thinking this module might do the trick for my rear lights.

    $12 CURT 58240 Non-Powered 3-to-2-Wire Splice-in Tail Light Converter, Not Compatible with LED Lights

    Run both turn signal wires and one brake line into the box and then to the tail lights. Think it'll do the trick? I'll still need a resistor to stop the hyperflash though.

    Been running them for exactly three years this way. No issues yet, through snow, salt, mud, you name it.
    All parts installed outside in the elements near the body behind the bumper.
    They don't make a load resistor for the turn signals for the Jeep either. I've been using resistors from eBay, and they've been great.

    Love your build.

    I'm planning on buying a Tacoma very soon, so I was just browsing and figured I'd throw some of my (limited) knowledge.

    The first issue I had was having the deck go from cold overnight to hearing up in the sun. The middle of the deck bowed up about a half inch. Fortunately it relaxed after the temperature equalized. If that continues I may consider adding additional anchors down the middle of the bed.

    I'd be thrilled to see others build their own bed.

    The new tires did well yesterday at Superlift. I did have issues with the incredibly slippery trails, but my old tires wouldn't have stood a chance.

    I did manage to mangle my fenders a bit though. Time to break out the jigsaw and take care of that problem.

    Oh, and the new wheels will hopefully be delivered by the time I get home from this trip. I have a three day trail run before then though. :)
