Hey guys this is my first post..

I went to a tire place and I just want a basic good look. The guy there told me 20s with 33 inch tires and leveling kit. How will that ride? How will it look? I don't want to lift cuz I just spent shit load of money on a brand new truck. But I want a cool look. Isn't 20in rims way too big? I know I want a leveling kit cuz it looks better but what size rims and tire will fit?

    Thank you

20's are way too big to me, and probably will cost alot. I personally wouldn't go bigger than 17". With leveling you would probably look better with 265/70R17's or 265/75R16's depending on the wheel size you get;some even go with 285's. Look around on here to get some reference to the look you like.:)

I haven't done anything to mine yet, but I am going to do a lift with Bilstein 6112's when they come out. Would've done 5100's, but want the new ones. If they are talking spacers, i've read on here that you want to stay away from those, especially if taking offroad(can damage things in suspension).

I personally like the look of 20s on 33s and a leveling kit (rim depending of course). Everyone has their opinions on rims but it all boils down to what you think looks good and what you use the truck for. If i was gonna go just a tire and rim change with no lift, 20s would be a little big (unless you plan to lift in the future)

    16s or 17s over 20s.

At least get UCAs if you're just gonna run a coil spacer.

I think 20s are too big on 35s. Just don't like the look and the loss of sidewall strength. I think Mr. Tire salesman is trying to get more money out of you using Mall Crawling 101 ;)

I would go 17". Personal opinion. I like the look of 16" as well.

Thanks guys! Love this forum so far! What do you guys think about powder coating the stock rims and or powder coat then? Black. I think they are 17s. Then throw some 280s on them

That'd definitely be a great cost effective way to change up the look and is something I would recommend, as far as leveling I would stay away from spacers and really for such a thing bilstein 5100's sound perfect for your application, old man emu would good and is still fairly reasonable although more expensive than bilstein 5100's would run you, ultimately up to you man

    I'm getting a leveling kit soon and going with 18s and 32s . 18s is the biggest I'd go with stock/leveled .

Was this one of those Hawaiian tire shops by chance?

265 (32") on stock suspension will rub (I personally know this).
The general consensus is with a levelling kit you go with 265 (32") and this requires no trimming. and there will be no rubbing even turned off road.

285 (33") requires a 3" lift and new UCAs and you still have to trim.

Study the forums for a while and you will get a feel for what you want and what is right and wrong. Good Luck

    265/75/16 leveled with 5100s at 1.75.
