265/75/16 will not rub, that is stock.

 

They actually did some work on the river here the past year or so and now there is white water rafting and zip lines! sorry for my stupid question I just got confused BC I am wanting to get some new rims for my truck. I really like those stealth customs. And from what I've read I could get away w some 16s and some 265 75 16 on my stock prerunner and then maybe add a lift later.

They are both a 32" by 10.5" tire though? Obviously different sidewall sizes but that's not what I was referring to.

 

on stock wheels, many posts say no (after removing the front mud flaps). So I would say no if you are never going offroad.

My 265/75/16 with aftermarket wheels did not rub with the mudflaps removed at full turn at the shop But...... As soon as I drove it and was turning and would hit a small bump, like turning into any driveway....it would rub. 5100s @1.75 completely resolved the issue.

 

What wouldn't rub? Only stock size tires? I guess if I'm going to go that route I would need to get the 5100s at the same time?

 

I second this. I put 275/65/18s on mine ( aftermarket wheels with no lift for a week) and it didnt rub til bumps.

 

Um for those of you saying 265/75 will rub...what size tire did your truck come with because 265/70 is stock. Don't understand why you needed a lift to run those tires.

 

Mine came with 265/65/17 which is the same diameter as 265/70/16

Because 265/70/16 is a smaller tire and the next size is 265/75/16 and that is where it starts to rub.

 

I did 2.5 lift in front only and removed the front flaps and didn't have any rubbing issues. But I do have aftermarket wheels and that helps with the fitment of the bigger tire also

 

Did you go with 5100s?ome?

Its the girlfriends lol but I've done the stuff to it.
Its a 2&1/4 inch spacer from procomp and fj coils and shocks since they give an extra 3/4 of and inch from them.
So it lifted the truck a full three inches up front
