My drivers side door doesn't shut right, compared to the passenger side door.
I always have to really slam it in order for it to completely shut.

I noticed this when I first brought it home, so I greased the hinges and waited a few weeks and it seems to be the same. Is this a quick fix at the dealer?

Could just be the striker is slightly out of adjustment. Not a big deal. I actually noticed the other day the hinges are getting a little loose on my driver's door. But it is 10 years old with 150k on it.

    Do dents and scratches count?
Mine did the same thing. Complained to the dealer and he said I would need to make an appointment to get it looked at. Well I never got around to making that appointment. After 12K miles and being slammed shut many times, it seems to have fixed itself. Latches with just a fingers push now.

I noticed that my newly bought 2015 Tacoma Access cab doesn't have a "satisfying" door closing sound, even if I slam it. When I check it is indeed closed but I guess this is just a normal issues with suicide doors?

It only has 3k miles so far so I was just wondering.

My drivers door is the same way. I can shut the passenger side with a feather. Weird.

My drivers side rear door does not latch as easily as the front. Maybe it is just me not closing it as hard. Done it from day one. Not worth taking to dealer for.
