Every year. And, I actually succeed every year, then gain a little bit back as the year moves on. 2 years ago I lost 25 pounds to get to my target. This year the same target is only 9 pounds away, so I think it is doable. We will see.

Yes. But between stress and other things, I'm not where I was last year. However, I'd rather lose fat than weight.

I'm right at the border. Unfortunately the BMI calculation gets a little out of whack when you exceed 6'. I am 6'4" and my chart shows I have to be between 140 and 190. I don't want to see myself at 140 - that will be bad. I am currently at 208, which puts me in the overweight category. My goal is to get to 199. I don't see any reason to be much below that.

Not to lose weight per se.

    BUT

I've been a big fan of kinda power walking 3-4 miles every day at lunch. I feel better, I stay at the correct waist size for all my pants to fit, etc.

The last six months, I haven't had health insurance, and was unemployed, so no dice. I feel lethargic and ...honestly, there are about four pairs of pants that are uncomfortably tight around the middle right now, but not all of them.

Thankfully, my new job's insurance kicked in as of this weekend, so starting Monday I can go back to my outdoor walks every day! (Bad knees, can't run, so walking really really fast is as close as I can get. I typically do 4 miles or so in about 40 minutes)

    Similar here.

I've classically been a 32-34 waist (depending on brand). Right now 34 is doable, but a couple are too tight to comfortably wear.

    I'm holding around 170-175 ATM. I should be 155ish, 160.

I'm holding at 230. I feel comfortable at 215, but takes a lot of work to keep it. It'll all have to be diet this year. I'm hoping my wife will actually be interested in eating right, but I doubt it. She's a hard head stuck in her shitty midwest ways.

You need to eat more during the week. You aren't putting enough calories in. Believe me, you have to eat to lose. Grab nuts, veggies and what not and snack all day.

I grab the veggie mix bags from the veggie section of the megamart. 12-16oz of cauliflower, broccoli and carrots.

Pop the top and munch away over the course of a couple hours. (Farm kid, grew up snacking on raw fresh fruits and veggies from the garden)

A wee spot of blue cheese to dab and you're set. Filling, healthy, lots of nutrients.

I understand. But that doesn't mean you don't eat. I made that mistake years ago, and found out how unhealthy it was. When I'm losing, I tend to eat everything in site. Some how I still lose.

You don't need a gym to lose. Start simple. Pushups, crunches, simple stuff in down time. Take a walking lap around the building.
I do the same when I start to lose.

I used to wear those, ha. Im about 5-11 and 200 lbs. Now i wear 36 depending on the brand, but some pants do need to be a 38.

Id really like to get to about 180 again. I just need to start using the weights in my basement. I was a gym member last year till i broke my hand and havent lifted since, it was getting irritated too much.

At 5'8", 5'9"ish and slight of build, the 34 waist works pretty well for me. I know when I first quit smoking and starting cooking, I hit 190 in the first year...that was a BEAR to work off and keep off.

    Never...again

I dont think ill ever get back down to a 34. But realistically id be happy with getting flat abs again and putting more muscle back on.
