There is a place in Palm Beach County called Corbett. Pretty cool place in the dry season. Mostly swamp land in the rainy season. Let me know if you would be interested in going. It would be good to get out there with another Tacoma.

Haha. I assume your only talking about for offroading. Miami is awesome. How could you not love that crystal clear water, the beatiful southbeach that includes all the ladies.

Anyways this isn't really anthing intense but it's a field of grass with a path through it. It's on Virginia key back there by Jimbo's I think it's called. It's by some plant. I went a few years ago though so things maybe different. Maybe it's worth checking out.

Miami may be cool to visit, but to live here, it sucks ass...i dont really enjoy paying 12-15$ for a bud light, and the women here are stuck up..if you dont have money then you can kiss your chances good-bye, and theres really nothing to do here, its too expensive to go out, cant fish unless you own a boat, and theres no off roading spots...

    WOW!!!
A bud light should not exceed $5 Bucks anywhere in Miami.
So far, I find that most of the ladies are SUPER nice.

It could be that by visiting those $15 Bud Light places you are setting yourself up for meeting those Girls that can afford that kind of change and expect you to be able to afford it too.

I know that at Fisher Island (right across your Station) your average lunch,... pizza and a couple of beers...will run you $150 to $200. But then again, that crowd is used to earning 10 digit income.

Just 2 miles west in downtown Miami, beers are $2.50 and on Tuesdays buy one get one free.

    Same for Girls.

Well I won't feel too bad for you. Fishing all weekend sounds pretty awesome too. As for the pics, I will definitely take a lot. Osceola was recommended to me as an awesome spot by another member on this site, so I'm hoping it lives up to the hype.

I know one woman that's not stuck up. My sis lives down there. I've only visited for a week or two at a time so I'm sure as you say living is very different.

Being as your in the coastguard don't you get to enjoy the water atleast alittle? If I remember correctly isn't the coast guard station in the middle of Biscayne Bay?

I personally just like the atmosphere, ateast on southbeach. I can't say for anywhere else.

If you're on Southbeach some day there's a place called Monty's you may have heard of it. You can eat outside or inside and the prices are reasonable. It's at the marina.

Oh and back on topic. Has anybody been to the Everglades National park, or what ever it's called? Is there any wheeling there?

when i was active in the coast guard we used to eat at monty's all the time. its great and they gave half off! the coast guard base is right next to south beach. i work for FWC now so i get to enjoy the water still! i know you weren't replying to me but i was just putting in my 2cents. im sure he wasnt referring to every women being stuck up, but it definitely is a different lifestyle down here that takes time to get adjusted to. and speaking spanish is a must. not necessarily a must, but really does help

I didn't take it personally in anyway. I knew he was exaggerating.

Cool about the discount. I wonder if they offer the same for fire fighters because I've seen alot of them there before.
