Oh yea, I almost forgot. I had my alignment done this morning and put about 60 miles on the 5100's. It feels more planted. I'm happy.

Just checked out your build, truck looks great! What type of paint did you use on the coils? Anything special?

Thanks man, it's slowly getting to be where I want it. I used some rattle can caliper paint actually. Lots of thin coats. I figured if it worked on the harsh environment of the calipers, hopefully it will hold up on the coils too. Time will tell, and I'm not even sure if I may change the coils out later anyway so I figured a little bling while I had them out.

Installed a seat heater on the drivers seat, haven't wired it up yet, just put the pads in. Not too difficult. Scared of the wiring though :( any body know where I could hook into power and ground? Without using the cigarette lighter....

Straight to battery? With a switch it would work. Other than that not sure..

    Just a few LEDs...
You'll probably need a relay. My truck came with a prewired socket for the seat heaters right next to the fog light relay.

Smiley, do you know the amp draw on the heater? You should use a relay rated for the heater so you don't have all the power going through the switch. The switch opens a relay that sends power to the heater.

Yeah, it has both an in line fuse and a relay. I just want to hook into something that's only hot when the truck is on, and I'm worried about how much the fuse for the cig lighter can handle, you know? Or is that not something I need to worry about?

You could use a Add-A-Circut into the fuse panel under the steering wheel

I would consider doing the iPad head unit, but I'd end up losing my nav and back up camera :(

You CAN keep the backup camera. And the nav you can get through an iPad will be far better than any OEM or major head unit nav.
