I guess for the most part, I don't trust the car anymore tho so it leaves me with a bad taste. Subaru rebuilt the motor, it was a first for them and took about 2 months. So now I get sounds I don't think should be there and think it's a matter of time before it fails. I think next year I may trade it in or do a ls motor swap in it.

I got a dehydrator for christmas.. just finished my first batch of beef jerky last night/this morning. It's so much better than store bought stuff haha turned out surprisingly well for my first attempt.

Tico, what engine does your MK3 have? I used to be big into the VW/Audi stuff.. Was between buying an MK2 golf or a B5 A4, and ended up with a tacoma.

I'd still love to pick up a B5 S4 at some point to build as my fun car. It's just finding an unmolested one for less than 10k that's the hard part :/ or vr6/g60 swap into an MK2 golf. I'm the weirdo who would swap a vr6 and then build it as a NA engine and not turbo it.. Lol

Have fun with the swap! What's it coming off of? Looks like a cabrio or golf that had the jaws of life taken to it?

 

It had a 2.0 in it then I swapped in a 2.8 vr6. And the clip came off of a golf from England. And ur not weird for keeping the vr NA. Lol thts what I plan to do. Cams is really all I want to do to the engine.

oh it is. that's a fact! and mines straight piped. lol

 

So i took my newly purchased 02 4runner to the dealer yesterday to have the r/r axle seals & bearing replaced. Our shop isn't equipped to do the press work that's involved or i would've done it myself. And after picking it up last evening i was driving it back to work and immediatly noticed that the brakes didn't feel right. I put it on the lift and noticed that the tech left pinch pliers on the rear brake hose, see pic.
