Haven't gotten much range time with it but so far I love it. Super lightweight and its tight. I am concerned the giant "hook" on it may hang up on something but we will see. I plan to shoot a few 3 gun matches with it, so we will see what I think after that.

I honestly have no idea about 9mm conversion unless you're getting a dedicated lower, which some are really nice. I'm sure there has to be a conversion kit someone makes though.

I really need to find a good .308 barrel in 18" and I'm probably going to go with one of the rainier arms ones because kreiger is way expensive and I don't want a .835" gas seat that's odd and not many LPGB's come in that size.

For the 9mm swap all you should have to do is just get a new 9mm upper and the mags that go with it. PSA sells everything you need.
the lower shouldn't make a difference

If you get the correct bolt that uses the regular hammer then just a magwell block, mag and barrel. Check out 9mmAR

Yes and no. I like the Spikes tactical block. It's a good middle of the road block that is fully adjustable. Hahn precision are top end and promag is lower but have heard for the money they are ok. They use metalform, c form and uzi mags.

Yeah I choose it for the adjustability. I prob would like the top loaders for a dedicated lower due to having a jamb and ripping the mag out(possibly taking the block to!) but hey, I'm not clearing any corners anymore and couldn't pass it up for a fun gun!

Y'all probably get this a lot, but I think I might buy myself my first AR15. I'm not wanting to spend much so I'm looking at the basic models, I like the M&P 15 sport so far. If y'all happen to come across a good sale somewhere, please pass it along to me. I'm a handgun guy, and have my CCW permit, and I've never messed with rifles so I haven't learned all the lingo yet.

I'd just go to Walmart and buy it. The M&P sport is a great gun and you'll be able to shoot it sooner than waiting for a better deal.

I would ask what you are going to use it for. If it's mostly a plinking/truck gun with some home defense use thrown in for good measure, it would be hard to beat a piston AR. It's a can of worms debate, but I have one and they run. They eat any ammo you feed them, and if you really want some accuracy you can turn off the gas system and it's just like a bolt gun. If I only had one AR and a limited budget, it would be this for the sheer fact it is reliable.
