Which part of that scenario is the education system's fault? And the correct term is computer science degree. No shit or thing necessary.
Maybe he doesn't like the people he works with?

    Congratulations!

The education system doesn't teach life skills. The education system teaches shit like how to solve complicated math problems that no one uses, or what molecules are, shit that will not help you in life (unless you're going into specific career fields...that's a different story).

I've learned more useful things in the 6 months I've had my job then in 12 years of school. I've learned how to communicate better, how to work with a team better, how to work independently better, and that's just a scratch in the surface. They don't teach any of that shit in school

I'm an awkward mother fucker at first, mostly around girls lol so I fuck up my chances all the time. I wish I could act the same around them at first as I do when I get to know them.

Like there was this fine ass redheaded babe in front of me in the checkout line in Target the other day. I played it cool, grabbed a water out of the fridge, look up and she's staring into my eyes straight into my fucking soul.
I lost my shit, almost had a heart attack. Like I just can't even lol, my mind turned to pudding.

You weren't around the right crowd of smart friends, the right teachers, and you have/had a bad attitude about it all. I learned a lot in school when i applied myself. I don't learn much in college because i'm there for a general degree....not to be a genius.

Absolutely no reason to bring that up unless you're the one who feels some semblance of insecurity about it.

You don't even know me...you cant make assumptions like that lol

It's not that I disagree with everything about the education system, I've learned that its not for me and that I'll be much happier with the field I'm going into.

I've also learned that 99% of the population still believes you need to go to college to be successful in life

I'll have to look at that, I've been wanting to see it and now that I realize who the actor is I'll have to actually do it.

People need to stop complaining about what the education system doesn't teach, it's not there to turn you into a perfect human being. You go to school for 8 hours a day and the rest is up to you and your guardians. It is not your teacher's job to discipline you or teach you how to act in every situation. That's what your guardians are for. That's what extracurriculars such as sports, community involvement, and jobs are for. It is to be taken upon yourself to teach your children these social skills you complain about.

As for math not applying to anything, when one truly understands math, he understands why it is taught. Math and the methods used in math can be applied to 99% of daily situations. Math introduces problem solving skills, extrapolation, critical thinking, and resourcefulness, all of which are extremely usesful. If you didn't learn that, the education system did not fail you. Yes, some students fail to develop social skills and teamwork during their forming years but you can't blame their classwork for that.

Become experienced in each of those elements and you will be greatly rewarded. I do agree that the right job will teach you more than you will learn in a classroom because that's what I'm undergoing right now.

Damn. At least you can admit it. Just smile and say "Hi" :)
Dick move to throw that in somebody's face, no one else here mentions what they make
