I had some PC stones but in my ovens I never could get the bottom hot enough for my liking before burning the toppings as I like a nice crunchy crust. When I buy a house and can get a good oven that'll probably change but the low-grade apt ovens can't do it right now.

I live in an apartment and get a pretty good crisp from a pizza pan that had a bunch of holes in it.

This mid month check in January should give me an extra 36 hours of pay from the three double time days and the extra time and a half shift I picked up last weekend. :D

Naturally I spent all the money last Friday before I made it but came across a smokin' deal in the post Christmas sales/craze. :(

When you put it in "4" and stop at a light or sign, then start out again, does it shift up normally through the gears only stopping at 4th, versus 5th?

Those are nice revolvers. One of the people in my CCL tactical class had one ... .38?

EDIT: Never mind, just noticed the 357 Magnum lettering ... but nice because you can shoot cheaper .38SPL at the range, I assume?

Yeah, I've only been shooting a few times so I'll do .38spl for awhile and then move up to .357 mag's. I was going to buy a non-fancy "match champion" GP100 but this one I found new for only $75 more so I jumped on it.

Yep, I understand that concept ... two words of advice: BEAR SPRAY ... in addition to the sidearm. The stuff is amazingly effective ... I consider it my first line of bear defense and the gun my second line.

Since this topic is controversial, few points to consider:
    1) You don't have to be as accurate as you do with a firearm. Spray the stuff in the bear's eyes/nose/mouth. By two and practice with one; when you practice take due notice of wind direction, possibly consider a mask. I've had the stuff drift back on a light breeze ... had me and those with me choking and spitting red mucus  I honestly would never want to take a full shot in the face.
    2) Two Summers ago, when bear attacks were on the rise across the US garnering media attention, I read a study of bear attacks. Of over 10 attacks (I don't remember exactly how many) I found it interesting to note that in every incident where bear spray was deployed, the bear left after getting a shot or two of bear spray. EVERY TIME in the incidents that were reported.
    3) If you have to shoot/kill a bear in self-defense you will be interrogated by Wildlife Officers at length to justify it ... at least it's that way up here in Alaska. I've had two friends go through the process ... it was not enjoyable.

All this is just my experience and, of course, my humble opinion.

One final note: I have handguns (44 magnum & 50 cal) for bear defense, but if I have my choice in the situation, I'll choose my 870 pumpgun with rifled barrel and slugs every time; but then, I'm more accurate with a long gun than I've ever been with a handgun ... I was raised on long guns and didn't shoot a handgun until after I joined the Air Force.

Sorry for the novella, but felt it worth sharing.

Yup I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it does. Hoping it lowers the amount of "hunting" between gears.

Yeah I have spray and keep a clean camp. I haven't had trouble with bears in all my time camping. This is mainly to learn how to shoot, and also if there are any problems with humans.

All of my camping is primitive, away from other people for the most part.
