I like this light because it doesn't shine it your eyes. Light is below your line of sight. :)

This is a Frugal DIY mod thread, not a Frugal DIY 10 minute mod thread.

To each their own I guess but my storage space is precious in my truck and I would much rather do this mod right and not have extra items taking up space unnecessarily.

I got tired of things sliding towards the front of my bed, so I created an attachment point for my bungee cord.

Start with a metal blank and cut it in half. The blank had two holes, so I added a smaller hole in each half. Next I painted them black.

I attached two old keychain loops to the smaller holes.

Now, use the cargo door screws to hold the plates

And attach your bungee cord. No more sliding cargo

Those preexisting bolts are useful. Used them when I made my fire extinguisher mount.

Just a flat bracket with a quikfist mounted to it. Then, that whole unit is mounted using the preexisting bolts on the cubby.

The flaps tuck back and grab on the bolts so they're not flopping around.

I thought the large quickfist could span the whole space from cubby bolt to cubby bolt....damn. I'll just go with my original plan. Thank you. :)

Hey just to be fair, you're not the only one to come up with this solution.

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
these are about $3 bucks on Amazon but i think theyre only available as add on orders of $25 or more but they are adjustable after installation (like on a ball and socket similar to a rearview mirror)

I guess it's DIY because you stuck them on there all by yourself? :D I kid. I have them too, nice to have on the highway for the blind spot.
