When i stated "literally the same options" im stating functionality .... cosmetic stuff is w/e to me

 

brb....gonna make a thread about buying a used 6 lug Tacoma SR5 and then throwing a bunch of crap on it. Then I will compare the price of a brand new TRD OR at MSRP and go LOL I just saved a bunch of monies.

You can get a 2015 Sport longbed with entune and towing in NC for just over 32k, plus tax (3%) and tags. Sheesh

Who'd pay 46K for a Tacoma. Even in CAD that wouldn't make sense.

 

The TRD OR and TRD Pro both have 265/70R16 tires and the TRD OR wheels are 22 lbs ea FWIW.

 

If the Pro had a supercharger for that price it'd be worth it.

I lucked out at Ernie Boch in 2010. Brand new Barcelona Red Double Cab TRD Sport 4x4 6 speed. $26,500 ending up writing a $5,500 check. Traded in a 2008 Honda Accord EXL V-6 they gave me 20,000 and after all taxes and fees a check of 5,500 and gone I was.

Regardless of how you feel about pricing, an SC would have really pushed this thing to the next level that it is almost at for a factory truck.

 

... Again functionality... I'm not saying if priced right the pro wouldn't be a bad option but its just a TRD or with different shocks.


Fake beadlocks with literally 10 or 15mm offset difference to stock OR alloys... And a cat back makes zero difference. And like stated they offer no weight savings.

As far as lift, I actually have more lift, load handling and flex in the rear and a similar lift height in the front... All for much less. But lets not get into the nitty gritty.

Still wouldn't buy it. I find it scary that people flock to buy the "pro series". Anyone who believes that amount for a tacoma pro is appropriate needs to have their head examined. I also have some ocean front property in arizona...for sale if anyone is interested.

 

Exactly, I like to throw caution to the wind from time to time. It's only money. Splurge a little in life.

 

That sickens me when it comes to things like this. Just cause its a "special edition" type Tacoma they ass rape the general public on the sticker price. But like the others said, some douche is going to spend that much and buy it when they can get a TRD Sport or OF for much cheaper and add much better mods themselves.

 

They are just lubing us up for the 2016 price jump.
