Excessive Weathertech Liner Gaps? Fit Problem?

Santa was good to me and got a gorgeous set of Weathertech's. However, the driver side has two gaps, one against the door sill near the footrest and then another gap where the mat goes up against the shifter/center console assembly.

I've attached two pictures of the gap and then a picture of the passenger side against the shifter/console assembly to show the lack of gap.

So my question is--does this look like an excessive gap to you other WeaterTech owners? Do I need to just give it a little time for the plastic to "settle" into the shape of the floor? Might seem like I'm nitpicking a little bit, and I know it, but I really was looking forward to these being a tight fit to keep that Georgia clay off! Thanks for any advice.

Mine look the same on my 09. To me, it wasn't a big enough deal to worry about. I love mine.

Considering the cost of those things, the fitment better be spot on.. I would show the pics to the seller and expect an exchange replacement on their dime.

Looks the same on mine, too. I wish they covered the whole dead peddle with the mat, though. There's so much crap that falls underneath... Kind of defeats the purpose of them, IMO.

Mine looked like that too when new. After a while they kinda just mold on there own. Heat on the floor helps. After 5.5 years no complaints

That is one of the reasons that I switched from weather tech to husky liners.I have a better fit and more coverage.

Mine do the exact same thing, been in the truck for months and haven't settled. A lot of money for crappy fit that's all I can say.

My main concern was dropping crap down against the center console and under the mat and then getting mud from my boots down the gap against the footrest. My passenger side fits great, as does the back! Pops got em straight from WeatherTech, so I may just email them this and see if they say anything and otherwise not worry about it since y'all haven't had much of an issue with it.

It looks like the liner was packaged tightly at those weak areas. I would massage it out with a heat gun.

I will. Beavis gave me the heads up since I was originally going to go with weather techs.

You said it is normal for the gaps. I said in my 2010 there were no gaps at all. At least that is what I thought you meant bro, sorry
