It's a little skewed if I'm the only one eating it. :p

It prolly won't see many trails either gonna stay the way it is till my wife is done with school then I'll be changing my set up entirely. It may not include a toyota though.

Yeah, if you want a tow pig then diesel is the way to go.

I'd still keep my Yota though. Seems like a diesel would be more of a pain.

I have no reason to have multiple vehicles to pay insurance and registration on. Plus selling the runner will help fund the FWC camper.

This is one of the ones they took to sema. Id like to talk to them and see what kind of mileage people are getting with the campers and pulling a trailer with super charged tundras.

Speaking of SEMA. I was talking with Toytec the other day- they're SEMA Tundra (supercharged / 3", 35") is pushing 550HP...they averaged 17mph at 90mph around 1200rpm on the way to SEMA....apparently caught up to, and smoked a Viper.

Diesel fuel cost, 12+ quarts of oil per change and Maint costs on a diesel makes them impractical daily drivers. Worth it if it's a dedicated toy hauler (with weight that exceeds a space shuttle).

Just keep in mind it's not just the engine that will affect MPG's. You need to minimize the lift, tire size( keep it to pizza cutters), and make sure the tranny/axles are geared right for you needs. All of that can help improve your MPG's on any platform.

Also if you are considering diesel you might research bio-diesel conversions too. My cousin runs a bio-diesel Dodge and the Cummings has close to 500k miles on it and the truck runs awesome still. He is even filtering his own fuel now.

Yeah but you hook a trailer to a diesel and a gas pick up and there is a very big difference with pulling power and mpg.
Yeah Anyrhing I get will be lifted with tires weather it's a dodge diesel or a tundra. But pulling things the diesels just preform better. Nice got roughly 2 years to wait for toyota to get in tbe diesel game. :)

So you are not that worried about MPG's then if you are gonna lift it and assuming larger tires. Although if these reduced fuel hung around forever MPG's would not matter to ANY of us. :-D
