Wow, these look so damn nice. They conform to the floor the way they should. No more Weathertech for me.

I wouldn't be to worried until they got good and hot. Probably wouldn't hurt to heat them with a hair drier, but summer will relax them. On the other hand, I bought a set for my dad for his Chevy Avalanche and they fit horribly.

I emailed them this thread and a bunch of pictures. Let see if they are a company that stands behind their product or not.

I can tell you from experience, Weathertech takes customer service seriously. They replaced my couple year old in-channel vent visor when it blew out, they gave me remount tape to reinstall them in my new truck, and they sent me some materials when I had one loose and making noise, all for free.

I have laser fits in my Tacoma, my Camry, my brothers Xterra, my dads Avalanche, and my dads 1500 Chevy ... in addition to my Tacoma vent visors. You could say I'm a believer.

I'm gonna take this a step further. I puchased a set of these mats about one year ago from the factory store. After reading this thread and seeing the pictures I looked at mine today. I got the gap on drivers and passenger side. So for xmas I got a gift certificate from Bass Pro Shop which just happens to be a short drive from the Weathertech factory store. I'll use any excuse to go shopping at BPS so if I don't get hung up at work tomorrow I'm gonna stop by the factory store on my way to BPS and see if WT really does stand behind their product. I can live with the fit but as pointed out they do claim that their mats are laser measured etc. I have to admit that those Husky mats look pretty good.

Probably shipping/packaging issues, I would heat gun them and try to form them. Mine are full of dirt, dust, leaves, and mud and the carpet underneath looks brand new, save for the hook holes.

Mine were never in a box. They were brought out from the factory floor in a plastic bag. They saw lots of heat last summer but apparently didn't relax into a tight fit. Again not a big deal to me but as long as I'm in the neighborhood I'm gonna stop by and see what they say.

More power to you, I'm interested to see what they say. I too would like mine to be an actual perfect fit, I have gaps too.

    ...

Indeed, they cover the dead pedal entirely and extend a lot higher. These were two dislikes I had when I had my 2011 Tacoma with WT. Also they were a bit slippery for the kids. After being in my truck for a few days they settled and I sm 100% happy!

the only problem I see between the husky and WT are the side coverage.

and I've noticed this on my 4unner also when you compare pics of both brands.

if you look the WT pics, notice the side coverage is way higher than the husky.

for my situation the higher side coverage is more important than the minor gaps.

I put Huskeys in my 2014 this past October....great fit front and back.
They seem thin/cheap but have been great. Rock solid grip to the carpet...

Great idea, I'll have to try this in the summer. I went through two sets of front mats and they both have the issue. Going to buy the husky liners next time.
