I have the Pioneer AVH1600DVD, I think that's what it's called. I like it. It was less then $250 for everything from SonicElectronix.com but it's got USB/AUX and that's about it. I wasn't looking for anything more. If you want bluetooth, XM, GPS, etc., be sure to bend over because they charge up the ass for those features. I like my head unit, it's snappy for what it is, and the biggest thing I replaced my HU for, is RCA outputs and rear USB so I could keep my iPod in my glovebox.

I just wanted to let you know about Crutchfield.com. They are an excellent place to deal with.Their support is second to none. Check them out online. Their prices are fair and you get alot of free extras(Install kits and wiring adapters).

    I'll second the http://www.crutchfield.com

I buy all of my stereo crap from them. They also include free everything you will need to install.

I had a Pioneer AVH-3500 that I bought from crutchfield. The unit, wiring harness, installation kit and steering wheel control module was right at $400. Pioneer makes a great product and crutchfield is the only place I will buy stereos from.

Be weary of Sonic Electronix they sell a lot of stuff that they are not an authorized seller of. I had bought a few things years back and when something went wrong they wouldn't help me and said talk to the manufacturer. Then the manufacturer told me they are not an authorized seller so if I want it fixed I have to pay it all out of pocket. Crutchfield is best to deal with.

I wanted bluetooth so I installed a double DIN Pioneer in mine last year. I would have bought it from Crutchfield but I had some Amazon gift cards so I got it there. I recall the head unit, install kit, wire harness, and the adapter for the steering wheel controls was under $200 for everything. I just recently installed some Infinity reference 6x9's in the doors and 6.5's in the rear doors. Amazing difference from stock and I have maybe $350 into the entire system.

I've been looking into this a lot. Pioneer seems to be the go to head unit. I have been looking for one with gps Bluetooth xm ect. Mainly because the stock radio sucks so bad. It's either so low you can't hear it or so loud it makes my head hurt. Reception is terrible as well. Saddens me because my 12 camry had a great sound.

I'm not a big music person I listen to 99% news and talk radio.

I purchased a DPX500BT from Crutchfield.com and that head unit was great for my tacoma, installed it myself with no problems. Read the reviews for it and decided to get it, btw it is true what they say about it not being bright during the day, kinda hard to see but overall a very good head unit, came with harness adapter and some other extras. Extremely happy with their customer service!!!.

Ohh and if in case your looking for a powered sub that doesn't take up much space I also purchased Kicker Hideaway amplified sub, I believe it's a 8 in putting out 150 RMS Watts. It may not seem like a lot but believe me it sounds awsome. I installed it behind the rear seat on my double cab, screwed on the plastic backing of the seat and had to only trim the metal hook to make sure that it snapped back in place. I will mention that the kicker hideaway that I first received did not work, I had read in the reviews that some customers had experienced that but Crutchfield sent me another one within 3 days and all was set and done.
