I did just run a breather. Brand new 3/8ths fuel hose. I have about 8ft of hose tho. Up the link then to the back of cage. The seal popped back in by hand figured it would be much harder to do that.

just to give more info on tostidos pinion seal... we re-seated it without any effort. its like it should be RTV'ed in because it just presses in with finger pressure. Everthing on the web talks about driving that seal in on a ford 9 with no mention of RTV, but this one almost drops in, no "driving" it in necessary.

Yeah the seal definitely shouldnt go in by hand, I'd get a new seal, or you "could" use a very thin coat of rtv, but seals are cheap

It's not much. In the 21-22" neighborhood. Strapping the rear down a bit to 25 then it's go time. I hope lol.

A new seal requires resetting the gears right? Kinda bullshit for a brand new strange third.

No pinion seals just tap in and out. No need to reset gears.

ok, well good thing they are only like 10 bucks. I have to see tomorrow if it will slip over the yoke. That gear oil is like glue in this cold weather so I have to get the old seal back out.

The yoke? You have to remove the flange. Rip out the old one. Put RTT on the outside of the seal and tap it back in

so it taps in from the inside of the flange? The seal popped forward and tapped right in to the outside of the flange.

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
The yoke has to come off to change the seal. If you have a solid pinion spacer (not sure if ford 9's even have pinion spacers) its as easy as impacting the big nut off, removing the yoke, replacing the seal, putting the yoke back on and torquing to spec again.

At full stuff the UCA bolt pokes holes in the inner fender. There isn't much room for a can in there, but where there's a will there's a way.

if youre trying to bump off the uca bolt, an engine cage is obviously going in, so inner feders are 86'd.

Doesn't negate the fact that at full stuff the UCA bolt is about 4" from the hood... Just using it as an example.
