I cheaped out and bought the GNC whey protein..no regrets trying it for $22 for a tub, but get what you pay for..tastes like junk.

The worst was when I saw 20% cholesterol per day in one scoop, I almost choked.

Well, I can officially say, Im going into the new year Hitting 2 Pbs today. I work progressions on Deadlift beating my last Pb by 40 pounds and nailing Flat bench after progressions as well all in the same day. Im on my way to 700 DL now, 515 Squat and 454 bench, I still have allot of work ahead of me, once i hit these, ill start trimming down as much as i can while maintaining these lifts. I wonder if i can drop 20 pounds and still do it !

Just want to hit some marathons and want to do the ironman in Lake Placid. I wish I could do it this year but you have to sign up a year in advance and it fills up instantly.
I haven't thought about weight numbers but 1000 club sounds good!

To grow my legs. That's about my only gymbrogoal. Probably try for the 1000 club myself.

    Back with another noob question

Should I bother doing squats on the smith machine? Is doing it in a rack much more efficient?

I really need some. I get some super swamp-ass after a good lifting session. I'll go with the Wal Mart brand...the only gym stuff I spend money on is shoes...I'm a Nike snob lol.

    2015 goals:

    1. 405 bench
    405 squat
    495 deadlift
    1305 total

    2. 17" arms

    3. Maintain around 10% bf year round

    that too

No. I don't use the smith machine for anything because it restricts your body's natural movement. Squatting in a rack leaves your body to do everything with balancing the weight and allows you to move more. No matter what you're doing, a smith machine restricts your natural range of motion. The only thing I've ever used one for is calve raises and shrugs; other than that, it's a useless machine.

So my 7 month old daughter has croup and an ear infection. One of the medications she is on is a steroid. Ever seen a 7 month old on road rage? It was funny as first but now it's throughout the day. So glad today is the last day she's on it. She balls up her fists, slams them down on her legs, and grunts loudly and then screams. You hand her a toy and she throws it half across the room.

you use a lot less muscles when you squat in a smith
if you can squat in a rack, it'll always be better

Oh crap, I forgot about that. I brought my stuff to work out today. Curious to see if it will be packed, or if everyone will start tomorrow so as not to mess up their Friday night social life.
