I was thinking that I would take the steps off for the winter.

After reviewing the photos at http://monarchrifle.com/dougs_bushwackers.html

I'm thinking that I should remove them.

Passengers and my Mom don't seem to get the idea that the step is for their feet. They slide off the seat to the ground and bitch about the seat height.

The truck would look better if I took them off.

    Opinions?

I agree, "its your truck". I personally think it would look better without, but if you like them then

I agree that It's your truck and your opinion. But if you want someone different to give an opinion I will do so.

I think they look cool, but I think they are a little big for the truck and stick out too much. But I think that if the truck had bigger tires and wheels it would fit in better thought. And it would blend in better with the bigger tires/wheels.

But if I saw it in person I could have a different opinion since sometimes it's hard to tell by photo. But since it's your truck and if you like it, than that is all that matters.

2 votes so far to remove the steps.

I used to have these on my old blazer..I liked them.. but I had an 8" lift on it so they looked good with the truck. The steps were always used to get in, but rarely to get out. I think people just find that it is just easier to "slide" out of the truck. They really came in handy right after muddin, i could wipe my shoes off on them :p

I don't think they look bad on the taco.

    edit:

with some bigger tires, i think they would look alright.

I would agree! My GF is 4'11" (she says 5') and as the truck was growing in height she would 'bitch' about it but I just let her air her opinion. She has turned out to be a great partner in off roading & camping so, I can't complain. I would say just be confident it's what you want and your GF will be fine.
