    Painting Sliders what would you use?

    Well here's what I've decided. Rustoleum self etching primer and Rustoleum Professional flat black.
    I'll do 1 or 2 coats of primer. Wait for it to dry 3-4 hrs at 70 degrees. Then rough up with a scotch pad. Then finish with Rustoleum Professional 3-4 coats. After I've mounted the sliders I'll apply some grip tape and lip seal to the edges ;)

    Parts List
    2-3 cans of Rustoleum Professional flat black Enamel < This paint kicks ass. Perfect finish. Probably the best I've ever used.
    2 cans of Rustoleum Self Etching Primer
    Denaturing Alcohol
    Scotch Pad

    Do not buy Rustoleum Auto Primer. I had to use it to add a little more primer. It kept clogging up.

    Originally I was going to use Rustoleum truck bed coating, and then a few layers of black paint on top. But instead decided to just use several layers of Rustoleum professional (~$5.50/can)

    It worked great on my front skidplate, and was resistant to rocks and scratches. I'll let you know how they do after they're done. So far, I like how they're turning out.

    POR15 is pretty well bombproof you can bend the metal and the paint will not crack, its also expensive and will stain anything it touches, floor clothes skin and yes it sticks to those just as well

    I've used bedliner spray, herculiner and Rustolium on 3 different sets.
    The Herculiner looks great but, it's a pain to keep hitting when it scrapes off.
    I choose Rustolium flat enamel spray on all armor now. Looks great and cheap to refinish. Even covers after powder coat damage.
    If you plan on using your sliders as designed and often than Rustolium ftw.
    if you need traction for icy weather when getting in than grab some 3M tape.

    The 3M tape is amazing. I've put some strips on my sliders. So far, good results.

    I painted mine about 2 years ago. Used 4-5 coats of rustoleum auto primer and then 3 coats of the bedliner stuff autozone sells. The rustoleum primer is still holding up in the spots where the bedliner has completely worn off. So I would say, rustoleum for the primer and a big NO to the autozone bedliner stuff.

    I used 2 good coats of Rustoleum Pro primer. Then 2 or 3 coats of Rustoleum Pro flat black. Only rocks have gotten through it so far and it makes touch-ups easy.
