Military-grade storage container in used condition. In perfect working order (all latches, handles, and wheels are functional). Great containers for long-term storage of personal gear, ammo, medical supplies, or whatever other supplies you might have.

These containers are airtight, watertight, chemical agent decontaminatable, fire retardant, and contain automatic pressure relief valves.

Below is a link to the Pelican-Hardigg website for specs:
    http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail_...=472-MEDCHEST3

I found these to retail new online for anywhere from $680-$820

    Several for sale.

Here is the link for pics and purchase:

Just a little tidbit. For the survivalist AND Overland enthusiast.

I was reading a few articles and remember coming across a mod that someone did. In the junk yard, they found an old ECU. They gutted it, put a bracket on it and mounted it in the engine bay. Now this was done for a reason. A SAFE that no one would suspect.

In reading the article, they went on to say they kept important things in it. Like monies, visa's, ID's, keys, etc.

They modified it to have to be opened with a screw driver if I remember correctly. Being an ECY for the engine bay, I believe it was already waterproof. Great inexpensive mod for us all to keep the valuables or spares in a safe place.

Now getting to a spare key in there f the trucks locked is another story.

Got a new (to me) truck gun yesterday :D
Winchester '94 in 30-30. Basic, reliable, semi-compact, politically correct, and the ammo's cheap for it.
Plus it's a post-64 and I didn't pay much for it, so I won't really care if it gets dings and scratches.

Yeah, I've wanted one for a while but haven't been able to find any for a price I wanted to pay. It's amazing what some people think their rusty beat-up old 94's are worth.

I'm pretty partial to the 870 actually. But i would love to have an old lever action with a big loop handle like John Wayne

Meh. Shotguns aren't a bad option for a truck gun, but the '94 vs an 870 I'd take the '94. The 94 weighs the same as an 870, but it can reach further and hit harder, hold 8 rounds (plus 1 up the pipe) and is only 38 inches long.

Plus I can shoot sub-5 inch groups at 100 yards all day with an iron-sights lever gun.

Obviously not a Glock, since that would be illegal and not to be spoken of on the interwebz.

Well that's why you like the 870. The best truck gun is one that you actually have.
