On another note, headed out of town for a few days, gonna make the most of it. 285 miles each way, additional driving for a few days, wheeling in Interlake (Lynnville, IN) then headed home another 285 miles.

Haven't touched the truck since I wheeled a month or so ago. Checked the truck last night and the battery was dead. Got it in the garage and straightened the tie rod a bit. Since I haven't driven it in a while I figured I would take it to work today



Sure looks small down there.
So after work I will start my mini-work-and-play adventure lol.

Anyone have an opinion on flyzeye products?

 

I don't have one but I've seen them in person. They light up the center console very well.

 

Good quality product with a nice finish.

 

I had one in my truck... I even showed you... noob.

 

So did some more wheeling Saturday again. No pictures, lol. Truck has been working great, having two driveshafts has worked out really well. One for the trails and one for the street, always a smooth ride home

Also met an interesting fellow recently. My work has put me in touch with him. Long and short of things he has a SAS'd 4runner built for his local terrain
Best part is I may get to go for a ride when I am in Iceland next year!

Not exactly my style, but you build for what terrain you have, and I certainly can appreciate all the work that went into this thing. And yes that an auto inflation system on the tyres.

Started with a FROR Tacoma case mount plate, added some more material to connect to.



Made a pair of these:



Looked like this:



The frame is two layers of C-channel, so I made my plates a little small so the weld would bond all three together

When I see you do this it makes me wish you were not a 10 hour drive away.

 

surprised u went with that mount. Mainly since some people will say thats the most horrible mount ever and ur tcase is just ready to explode now

 

It is a secondary mount... His primary mount is still a custom made one with the 4x bushing mounts. The purpose of this mount is solely to stop extra rotation on the driveline causing so much movement the shifters are getting bent.
