60+ year old thread.

Happy New Year, everyone!! I am now on the fast burn to "officially" join the group - turn 60 at the end of April.

 

Good Morning everyone . Hope everyone had a happy New Year and a safe one. I spent most of yesterday after partying on New Years Eve. I just want to wish everyone a safe , Healthy and prosperous New Year.

 

Hope you can get everyone moving before the weather shuts in ... Godspeed for a safe flight back. Sounds like you're gonna earn your pay on this one. Be careful.

I know Rob but is has not gotten cold yet. I just need to turn off the large pond filter and install the smaller in water filter. Remove some leaves from the netting and cut back the dead water irises.

Happy New Year everyone even the interlopers! Paul, yours and John's New Year's story beats mine by a mile - my big accomplishment was staying up to see it!

We did a final Christmas get-together with my sister and her family in NJ yesterday. Met my niece's new guy. He's an engineer, fixes up houses on the side. Seems like a genuinely nice fellow. I sure hope so because she really deserves some happiness in her life after 3 failed relationships in a row, the last one leaving her with two kids and a worse-than-deadbeat ex. Fingers crossed bigtime for her in 2015.

A man returns home a day early from a business trip. It's after midnight. While en-route home he asks the cabby if he would be a witness. The man suspects his wife is having an affair, and he wants to catch her in the act. For $100, the cabby agrees.
Quietly arriving home, the husband and cabby tip-toe into the bedroom. The husband switches on the lights, yanks the blanket back, and there is his wife in bed with another man!
The husband puts a gun to the naked man's head. The wife shouts, "Don't do it! I lied when I told you I inherited money.
HE paid for the Corvette I gave you.
HE paid for our new cabin cruiser.
HE paid for your season Pittsburgh Steelers tickets.
HE paid for our house at the lake.
HE paid for our country club membership, and
HE even pays the monthly dues!"
Shaking his head from side-to-side, the husband lowers the gun.
He looks over at the cabby and says "What would you do?"
The cabby replies, "I'd cover his ass with that blanket before he catches cold.

Good morning Paul. As a person that flew 3 to 4 times a month for close to 10 years I have great respect for the entire crew on the airliner no matter how big or small it may be. I flew into St. Louis all the time. I actually cried when TWA was sold. I was always in first class based on flights and number of miles traveled.

Todays passengers are so disrespectful of not only of the crew but the other passengers around them. I am actually glad I only fly maybe once a year now.

Thank you for caring about the entire aircraft and the contents.

Good morning Ken. Today the family is going to a Woman's basketball game at a University for the deaf, Gallaudet University. This is part of a project for his ASL class at school. Should be a great experience.
