Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Yeah at the very least I will have the male corgi and the rotibull. Trying to see if I can find a sitter for the 2 little girls. They are a handful in the living room let alone in the truck and on the trail.

Lol. Sounds like my girl. We just drove an 1800 mile Roadtrip and she drove for maybe 3 hours. Slept for most of it.

Speaking of dogs, how well trained and kept up are dogs out there? Generally, my pup is awesome with other dogs but does gets food aggressive and protective of "his" things.

I'm not worried about Ash acting a fool, he's trained well and listens to me. Very friendly with people as well. Its other dogs that run freeley and won't respond to commands that worry me.

I generally don't let my dogs run loose... at least until they are comfortable with the other dogs out there. I have a tie out I bring and hook the slider. So they can hang out in camp without wandering off and while wheeling the hang out in the cab or bed tied off.

I was amazed how well all the dogs got along 2 years ago. We had only had our dog about a week at the time and she and a couple other dogs just ran around and had a good time.

19 and 9 are not good for group comms. Since all the BS trucker traffic is on 19 and then 9 is the emergency channel.
    I'm a big fan of CH 25.

Right. I know that part. But I got a CB from Europe that's made in Germany. It has the 1-40 channels, but I can switch something else that's has channels or ranges; PL, E, d, EU and I have no idea what that means. 056850d2052af1fafe6135acea72f02b_4e1772999115772b953d24137f6a4f4b64ebf48f.jpg

Mines a 1st gen tundra I'm building to be more overlanding friendly. Also doubles as a tow rig for my RZR but that's for pismo use mainly.

Yup it's the plan so I hope Billy can make it or else i rather not roll solo lol. 12 plus hr drive. Should be fun rolling with two rigs

Stuff and things that make it better.
Germany and England have an additional 40 channels (80 total). Looks like you have the ability to switch your CB to those frequencies.

    on the dog topic...

we've had great success in the past with dogs...

i know we'll have our two dogs with us (aussie mix & shiba inu)...we'll let the aussie off leash a lot...if he bugs anyone it's because he has a ball or stick in his mouth and he wants you to play fetch :D

if you have an aggressive dog, keep them on leash and/or close/under control...

seems like the dogs that have made the trip have been excellent dogs though

make sure to bring plenty of water, make sure they have a place to escape the sun and DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE TRUCKS! we will be in a desert.....

if you're looking for a good place to hike with dogs with water, mill creek turned out to be a great "hike" for the dogs as it has plenty of swimming holes to have them swim around in...

Great. I was hoping to bring the pup along. Sounds like he'll fit right in.
