Holy crap, Nick. Glad you and Lisa are ok! You're fortunate to have a copilot who can keep her cool like that!

Ice requires the utmost respect.. my buddy and I hit Bowman Lake yesterday and I almost lost my truck over the side of the road from a sheet of ice. That was aired down too. I chalk it up to my confidence being built up after driving on so much ice the whole day and not taking it as seriously as I should have. Thankfully I was able to not panic and just gently guide it in the right direction.

I got myself a snatch block too, and more shackles before we hit the trail. Didn't have to use it but its definitely staying in the truck. Can't beat having a winch and the right tools.

So when are we doing the next snow run :D

Having recovery tools in the truck all the time is important. You never know when you might need them. I wish I could fit all my recovery gear in the truck but I cant. I now have (mostly thanks to christmas) 4 30' tow straps now. 2 10' tree savers. 7 D rings. 2 snatch blocks. A hi lift. winch. shovel. axe. 2 maxtrax ( about to order more). Im lucky I had two tow ropes and the snatch block in the truck.

Did I hear you say your videos will be ready soon?

I got two 30's and a 10' for christmas. When we were at hull mountian. Between Anthony, Jason, Chris and me we had 90' of two straps and a 100 foot winch line and it wasnt enough. Sometimes size matters.

Well technically my 100' of winch line was reduced to a mere 25 because it got all bound up in the drum. Fixed that problem yesterday. Winched myself up a steep hill, towing a trailer full of firewood, and got it all wound up nice n tight!!

Seriously?? That's crazy, I guess if there's no trees around, I'm always in the woods so I got options
